Assignment 1: The Chicken and the Eagle

1. What is the moral lesson of the story "The Chicken and the Eagle"?

After listening to the story of the chicken and the eagle I've learned in this
lifetime you could only be a chicken who just end up envying an eagle or we could be a
mighty eagle and enjoy being free and soaring up and beyond in the sky. You see, we
have a lot of potential to be the best version of ourselves but sometimes we think that
we can't achieve it because of the people around us that don't believe in our
capabilities. We must not let other dictate who we are and what we're capable of doing.
Let's always trust ourselves and believe on what we can do. and let's all think wisely
and take risks on the things we know we'll regret not doing in the future. Because at the
end of the day you become what you believe you are.

2. Is there a connection between the story and "Self-Awareness? Why?

For me yes, there is definitely a connection between the story and self-
awareness. Because as you can see in the story, the eagle didn't realize that she's an
actual eagle due to the fact that she was raise in a coop with many other chickens
around her. Basically she's behaving according to the environment she lives with. Which
in this case the chicken actually lacks self awareness of own self. She let the chickens
dictate who she really was and that's concerning because having self awareness is
important most especially in understanding ourselves. Being aware of ourselves can
help us improve and understand how other people perceive us and our actions.
