Cambridge English Assessment Examinations

English is a key skill which empowers students to compete globally in education, enhance
employment opportunities, facilitate mobility, and create opportunities.

To expose our students to an international standard of English language assessment, Amity

International Schools, in partnership with Cambridge Assessment English, a part of the
Cambridge University, which has been designing and delivering English language assessment for
more than 8 million learners worldwide, are conducting the following Cambridge English
Assessment Exams. All tests are aligned to the Common European Framework of Assessment
(CEFR) which is an internationally recognized standard of English language assessment.

Each candidate who takes the test, is awarded a Certificate from Cambridge Assessment English,
with a detailed assessment of his/her performance. A one-time online payment of the Cambridge
Examination fee is to be paid during registration which includes the price of the textbook. The
tuition is free and online classes will not disturb the regular class schedule.

1. Young Learners Examination (YL) for classes I - IV.

A Primary level examination. Activity based teaching of reading, writing, listening & speaking

2. KET for schools & PET for schools for Classes V- VIII --- preliminary to an upper intermediate level
of English.

3. FCE for schools for Classes IX & X -----Stepping stone to an advanced level of English.
4. C1 Advanced for Classes XI & XII …… A Cambridge Advanced Level English Exam.
The above is a sought after exam, accepted in more than 30,000 institutions in over 150 countries
by universities, colleges, employers, and professional bodies. It helps students to qualify for
scholarships in the UK and get a visa for study in the UK and Australia. Employer like HSBC, Microsoft,
McKenzie, Infosys, Mahindra’s, and many others in India and abroad prefer these certifications for
employment.

Please note that the course content for Flyers is the same in both class III & IV.

The same is the case for KET for schools class V & VI, PET for schools class VII &VIII, FCE for
schools Class IX & X and C1 Advanced class XI and XII.

Please do not choose the same course for your ward in case he /she has already attended
it in the previous class.

A student can, however, repeat the same course in the next class if he/she wants to improve
his /her performance.
