Letter to your teacher

I find global interesting because I like to learn about the different countries around the world and the
culture that their people have. I like to learn the differences between our country and theirs and
understand how they carry out their everyday lives. I am also really interested in travelling and like to
learn how other countries function and how it would become possible for me to visit or live overseas.

I am looking forward to learning about different traditions and culture in other countries and how those
countries and their people carry out everyday life. I am also looking forward to learning about where all
the different countries are in the world because I often struggle with knowing where things are and
would like to improve this skill so I know where I want to travel.

Because I don’t have great skills in map reading and knowing where things are in the world I am a bit
nervous about doing well in any topics that require me to know where countries are located off the top
of my head.

I learn best when I am working with my friends as it helps me to discuss ideas more and I feel
comfortable asking obvious questions to them. I also enjoy group work when it is with friends or groups
that we get to choose. I believe that working with people benefits my learning as I can discuss more
things and can get help from peers and have more fun which makes the learning better.

I am desperate to visit London. For some reason I have an obsession over London even though I’ve only
been there once, and I was only 18 months old so don’t remember anything. I was actually meant to be
in London for 4 days as I was travelling with the school Europe trip this year, but it unfortunately got
cancelled because of covid-19. I really want to go and live in London for at least a year and become one
of the locals. It is my dream to get a degree in Interior Design and then go over to London and work and
live in the city. I want to live in the suburb of Aldgate or Westminster. If I can’t get a job in interior
design I would really like to work in my local pub or bakery. While living in London I would love to visit
the English countryside and also other European countries. After living over there for a year or so I think
I would come back to Australia for a while, but I want to live many of my years in England and have a
family over there.

that it looks cold and it has been raining and this appeals to me because I love winter and find the cold
weather in London really appealing.

and their music. They are my favourite band and I’m always listening to either them as a band or their
solo career music. It is one of my biggest dreams to see them or at least one of them perform live.

in my bed on a rainy winter day while either reading a book or watching Netflix in my pyjamas. I am a bit
of an introvert so will often prefer to do nothing and be comfortable at home rather than going out with
friends.
