Career Narrative

Hello, I am Gabriella Vongphrachanh, but I go by gabby or gibby in my family, the one who

came up with that nickname is my sister (alissa) . I live in Norton shores with my family and I go

to mona shores high school, I have a sister my age and we are in the same grade. I would say that

we are really close and barely get into fights. I am a quiet person and I like to do things on my

own (Even if I know I'm doing it wrong I don't really like asking for help) , But when I'm with

my friends I'm more open. I don't like being super open and upfront with people I just met, I'll

get more comfortable with people as time goes on, I ould rather sit back and listen to other

people talk as I'm in a group rather than being the center of attention . I work at Walmart and I've

been working there for about 4 months now. I like my job th To my cousin's in my family or

some of my friends because we're really close And we've been four friends for years so I would

think that I would be like a sibling figure to them. My favorite place or thing to do is, to travel

the world I want to experience other ultures and maybe live in that country for some amount of

time, and then go to the next country I just hate staying in one place and I would love to travel

and experience different things rather than stay in one spot my whole life and experiencing

nothing. Rather than just watching Other people travel to the places I would want to go on my

phone.So instead of wishing I could do that I would really like to make that happen. Some of my

interest would be learning about my home country and language. I would really like to visit Laos

someday with my family and experience but I've been missing out on. My career goal would be

either a cosmetologist or something else, but right now I think being in cosmetology is for me,

since I know more about Nails makeup and hair and stuff like that.I rather get up and do
something and doing something that makes the other person happy would also make me happy.

Also seeing how I could do a haircut for someone and it turns out how they like it, if I would be

able to do that it would be nice and seeing that other person happy because of my work but also

make me really happy Also not saying I wouldn't have to stay inside most of the day at the hair

place or nail place, but I much rather do something I enjoy rather than doing something I don't

enjoy so if I decide to pursue cosmetology I think I would be much more happier.
