Step
1 Firstly, there are 4 different wires. They are N, L1, L2 and L3. First, L1
wire connect the Thermal Overload Relay Normally Closed 95. And
connect the Normally Closed 96 and Stop Switch NC 1.
2 Second, connect the Stop Switch NC 2 and Start Switch NO 3. Start
Switch NO 4 connect the Magnetic Contactor A1. Do not forgot Stop
Switch NC 2 should connect the Auxiliary contact block NO 83.
3 Then, connect the Auxiliary contact block NO 84 to the Magnetic
Contactor Coil A1. Connect the Magnetic Contactor Coil A2 to
Neutral wire.
4 Next, connect the Thermal Overload Relay Normally Open 98 and
Thermal Overload Relay Normally Closed 95 with a wire. Connect
Thermal Overload Relay NO 97 to Indicator Lights for Motor trip.
Connect the Indicator Lights for Motor trip to Neutral wire.
5 After that, connect the Thermal Overload Relay Normally Open 98
to the Auxiliary contact block NO 53. Auxiliary contact block NO 54
connect the Indicator Lights for Motor On.
6 Finally, connect the Indicator Lights for Motor Power to the Auxiliary
contact block NO 53. Connect L1 with brown wire, L2 with black
wire and L3 with grey. Do these step again and again until all L1, L2,
L3 connect the correct color wire.
Precautions We should make sure lock the screw, because it will make Electric
shock. If it is 3-phase Line Motor Starter Circuit, we should use 380V
Magnetic Contactor Coil. Otherwise components and wires will fuse
because of too high voltage. If it is single-phase Line Motor Starter
Circuit, we should use 220V Magnetic Contactor Coil. All power-on
experiments must be supervised by a supervisor.

4 Next, connect the Auxiliary contact block 1 NO 83 and Stop Switch NC 2.
Connect the Auxiliary contact block 1 NO 84 and the Auxiliary contact block 2
NC 71.
5 After that, connect the Auxiliary contact block 1 NO 83 and Forward Switch NC
1. Connect Forward Switch NC 2 to the Reverse Switch NO 3. Connect Reverse
Switch NO 4 and Auxiliary contact block 1 NC 71. Connect Auxiliary contact

Contactor Coil 2 A2 to Neutral wire.
Connect the Forward Switch NC 1 to the Auxiliary contact block 2 NO 83.
Connect the Auxiliary contact block 2 NO 84 to the Auxiliary contact block 1
NC 71.
6 Finally, connect the Thermal Overload Relay NO 98 to the Auxiliary contact
block 1 NO 53. Connect NO 54 to the Indicator Lights for Motor (Forward).
Connect the Auxiliary contact block 1 NO 53 to the Auxiliary contact block 2
NO 53. Connect Auxiliary contact block 2 NO 54 to the Indicator Lights for
Motor (Reverse). Connect the Auxiliary contact block 2 NO 53 to the Indicator
Lights for Motor Power.
Precautions We should make sure lock the screw, because it will make Electric shock. If it is
3-phase Line Motor Starter Circuit, we should use 380V Magnetic Contactor
Coil. Otherwise components and wires will fuse because of too high voltage. If
it is single-phase Line Motor Starter Circuit, we should use 220V Magnetic
Contactor Coil. All power-on experiments must be supervised by a supervisor.
Third Experiment
MCCB Board Indicator Lights for Motor On, Power
and Trip
Magnetic Contactor Start Switch
Thermal Overload Relay Stop Switch
Auxiliary contact block Timer
Step
1 Firstly, there are 4 different wires. They are N, L1, L2 and L3. First, L1 wire
connect the Thermal Overload Relay Normally Closed 95. And connect the
Normally Closed 96 and Stop Switch NC 1.
2 Second, connect Stop Switch NC 2 to the Start Switch NO 3. Connect Start
Switch NO 4 to the Auxiliary contact block 2 NC 71. Connect Auxiliary contact
block 2 NC 72 to the timer. Set up timer 5 sec.
3 Then, connect Auxiliary contact block 2 NC 72 to the timer contactor. Connect
timer contactor to the Magnetic Contactor Coil 3 A1. Connect the timer
contactor to the Auxiliary contact block 3 NC 71. Connect the Auxiliary contact
block 3 NC 72 to the Magnetic Contactor Coil 1 A1.
4 Next, connect the Stop Switch NC 2 to the Auxiliary contact block 1 NO 83.
Connect Auxiliary contact block 1 NO 84 to the Auxiliary contact block 3 NC
72, also connect the Auxiliary contact block 3 NO 84 to the Auxiliary contact
block 3 NC 71. Connect the Auxiliary contact block 3 NC 72 to the Magnetic
Contactor Coil 2 A1.
5 After that, connect the Thermal Overload Relay NO 98 to the Thermal

Indicator Lights for Motor Trip. Connect the Thermal Overload Relay NO 98 to
the Auxiliary contact block 1 NO 53. Connect Auxiliary contact block 1 NO 54
to the Indicator Lights for Motor On. Connect the Auxiliary contact block 1 NO
53 to the Indicator Lights for Motor Power.
6 Finally, Connect L1 with brown wire, L2 with black wire and L3 with grey. Do
these step again and again until all L1, L2, L3 connect the correct color wire.
However, make sure between Magnetic Contactor 1 and 2. L1 no change,
black wire change to L2, grey wire change to L3.

Fourth Experiment
Cable detector Fiberglass Measuring Tape
Number card Power filter

Step
1 First, we need to know the approximate location of the underground
cable from the drawing. And use a cable detector to detect the more
accurate position of the cable.

2 Then, we should use the number card to put it on the floor when we
find the new location of the underground cable. And writing down the
data of we detect the depth. All of these are a test conducted under
passive dectection.

3 Next, we use a power filter to make the cable have a high frequency. It
can help us to precisely detect the underground cable with a cable
detector.

4 In addition, we need to the depth of the underground cable again and

writing down the new data. Correct the place of the number card, if we
detect the new location of the underground cable.

5 Furthermore, we need to use a fiberglass measuring tape to measure

the distance from reference point A and H. Also, measure the distance
between every number card and point A and H.

6 Finally, we find the location of the underground cable. Divide a place for
manual mining. Taking a photo and be carefully to mine. Avoid
damaging any underground pipes and cables when digging.

Precautions When detecting underground cables, we should place the cable

detector vertically downward and close to the ground. This helps us to
detect the more accurate position and depth of the underground cable.
When we use the Power filter, we can make the underground cable
generate high frequency. We should use 8K Hz or 33K Hz. Because these
two frequencies are easier to detect.
