2. What do you think are the advantages of playing games/sports to our health?
For me the advantages of playing games/sports to our health help to balance our blood
pressure, to be normal in our breathing, and to be physically fit. Even in our mental health it helps to
avoid things that stress us, the more we develop a sense of mind.
Yes, when we focus on being happy, where it primarily causes us to be fit, it's as if it prevents us
from being depressed/stressed the more we have the opportunity to interact with people. If we focus
on physical fitness, it's a huge help, because it help us to be fit because it can be considered as an
exercise by playing it.

1. Can you identify the desirable values derived from playing team indigenous games?
For me the desirable values derived from playing team indigenous games are the same as having
teamwork, unity, and cooperation.
For me it is important to preserve the indigenous games of the Filipinos because this is part of
our country's history, so that we can share with the following generations that we can go back to. It's
also nice to go back to the simple things that give us fun, that even if life is simple we can make us
happy.
3. As a Filipino, do you believe that playing Indigenous Games can unite the people within the
community? Why?
For me yes, it's also one of the ways we can meet other people and bond it so we can get to
know them.
IV. RELECTION

I remembered 11 years before, Me and my cousins usually play hide and sake, tumbang preso
and bahay-bahayan it would start at 1pm and then after a long time of playing our grandmother call us
to eat chocolate porridge that she made, the sweat of ours are falling down to our body, and the
laughter that we always do like there will be no tomorrow. I really miss that feeling like we don’t have a
problem to think, but when I recall all of those memories I just can’t help but to smile.
V. APPLICATION
So in this activity I interviewed my Mom. The most popular indigenous games during their time
are tumbang preso and shatung. As she remembered every time they were playing with the others kids
they couldn’t avoid to have a misunderstanding in the middle of the game but overall they will really
have fun. The values that she get while playing indigenous games is the teamwork, kindness, and to
have a patience. As she remembered the one teach them the games are their neighbor who’s older to
them. My Mom really value to preserved the indigenous games because she believe that nowadays it is
the one that the kids keep busy, not to a gadgets or online games, because its healthier than to play
gadgets, and it keeps the kids socialize with the others kids. From what she answered in the question # 5
she prefer playing indigenous games than playing online games because it’s more healthier.

Playing indigenous games benefits not only physical growth but also mental stimulation. They
have the opportunity to learn and let their imaginations run wild. Because most of these games are
played in groups, children develop social skills as well. Agility, strength, balance, reflexes, hand-eye
coordination, accuracy, strategy, intuition, and patience are all qualities that can be developed.
Indigenous hunters and fisherman relied on these talents to feed their societies. And those skills were
gained through games at a young age and maintained through play into adulthood.
Activity 5. What I Can Do
“TUMBANG PRESO”
It was 3 in the afternoon, I saw the kids playing tumbang preso then I
got the idea to play with them to take advantage for this activity. At
first they cannot believe that I want to play the tumbang preso then I
explain to them why and they understand it. I was really having fun
playing this game with the kids it feels like I’m back being a kid again.
We finished the game around 5pm because we did not notice the
time. And before going to our home the kids request to me if can play
with them every day, hearing it makes my heart overwhelmed
because it shows that they also have fun playing with me.
