Singapore again reported a daily record of Covid-19 cases in

the country, the highest for the past year, since August 5,
2020. On Thursday (9/9/2021), there were 450 new local
cases recorded by the Ministry of Health of Singapore
(MOH).

Tuesday (7/9/2021), where there were 332 new local
transmissions recorded.

and isolation." MOH said again.

Yesterday, MOH also reported a new case of death involving

a 62-year-old woman. He has been infected since September 6
and has not been vaccinated and has a history of cancer and
bronchiolysis.

The trend in Singapore's cases has continued to increase since

August 23. Singapore itself has confirmed the entry of the
Delta variant in the country.

Citing Worldometers, in total there are 2,770 active cases in

Singapore at present with seven serious cases. Since Covid-19
emerged, there have been a total of 70,039 residents infected
with 57 deaths.

Meanwhile, the Singapore government admitted that it would

change the focus of reporting Covid-19 cases amid an
increase in cases that occurred again. The authorities will
direct the report to the capacity of the country's hospitals.

Bloomberg wrote, this was done to direct the management of

Covid-19 as endemic. In epidemiology, an infection is said to
be endemic in a population when it persists for a long period
of time.

Earlier in its press conference, the Singapore government did

believe that there would be an exponential increase in cases in the
country. Singapore Covid-19 Task Force Chair Lawrence Wong
