Production is regarded as the most economic activity in the present-day

world economy. Production is the preliminary objective of the business. From the society point of
view new product is the most important because without production it is impossible to satisfy
human needs and desires.
The Wagh Bakri Tea Group's production house is based at Dhokla, Gujarat
with impressive spread of 65000 yards with a modern processing plant and state of art blending
and packing unit that confirms to international norms in processing, blending and packaging of the

First of all the raw material is sent for blending then packing takes place
and at last the product is dispatched through various means of transportation. The company has an
outstanding storage of raw material. It comprises of various racks and pallets on that racks. A special
machine is also installed for putting the material in the rack and taking the material out for sending
it to blending department. On an average 5346 pallets are there in the storage.
The company has two types of blending machines: i) one ton, ii) two ton.
On an average 30 lakh kg tea is blended per day. The company has recently bought India's first and
world's latest machine to produce non-staple tea bag, IMA-Industrial Automatic he Machine
(IMA C27) from Italy. The company has various other machines also which are also good with
respect to technology. After the tea is produced, it is tasted by the experts and if experts are happy
with it then the top level officials also tastes the tea. And if they also agree with the experts then
and only then the tea is sent for packing. So, tasting is also done, which assures the best quality.
Thus, it can be said that the Wagh Bakri Tea Group is quality conscious.
After blending is completed the product is sent for packing. The quality
control room of the packing material is also there. It checks the packing material and finalise the
packing material for the product. Three layers are there in packing material. The first is celling, the
second is used for strength, and the third and final layer is used for attraction. Storage of packing
material is also there at the production house. RameshBhai is the incharge of this storage. This
storage includes all the materials that is needed for packing of the product. Distribution of the
product takes place after the tea is packed. Aslali is the main distribution canter of the company

MARKETING

As we all know marketing plays a major role in each and every

business organisation. Basically, the process of marketing includes the promotion of
the product with a view to increasing the sale of the product. Hence, the marketing
strategies must be effective and efficient for smooth running of the business firm.
Wagh Bakri Tea Group has hired the nationally renowned agency for their
different brands. Triton Communication, Harmer MS & L and Percept Advertising are
working on creative part to help them in communicating to their target group.
Publishing agency is hired for publishing creatives made by the agencies in the print as
well as in electronic medium.
Wagh Bakri always held belief in marketing research, which had been
carried forward by purchasing syndicated marketing research report and conduct
market research by marketing companies
Last year they had presence on number of channels like Colours, Star
Gold, Aaj Tak, Star One, Set Max, Zee etc. The plan broadcasting behind these channels
is to communicate brand value to a particular customer. The company wants to break
the margin of four states which are MP, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra to
communicate to their future customers across India. In short they want to spread in
PAN India which is the best way to reach prospective customers and make them aware
about the brand.
The company think that print medium of advertisement is the second
most effective way of advertisement after the electronic medium. Print medium is
being used for two main points which are,
1) to communicate the ongoing consumer promotion scheme and
2) for brand building activity. The group has good presence on this medium also
whether it is local newspaper or national newspapers.

10
Wagh Bakri is now catering to customers seeking tea online. Their online
selling portal have all the facilities required for the online selling portal. This initiative
has kept them on global platform. www.premiumtea.com and www.buytea.com are
the two websites which are catering to tea lovers seeking packed tea over the net.
Wagh Bakri has accepted the importance of new form of marketing
which is organized retail network. This retail network is growing up rapidly. The
company has opened over 2,00,000 tai outlets. They have started the activity of
gondola displays, floors stack displays and also used promoters at the selected outlets
where they can interact with the end-users
Customer promotion is also given importance by the group. Customers
are given cither various gift coupons or something, from which they get satisfaction.
Someone has said, "satisfied customer is the biggest mean of advertisement."
WaghBakri tea group is following this statement. Various seminars and stalls are also
held by the company at different exhibition to aware the customers about the brand.
As I have mentioned earlier that the company has recently launched Tea Lounges not
for making profits, but the group has launched this facility as an advertisement mean.
The company currently has seven tea lounges and the plan is to double the number.
The main objective behind launching these lounges is advertising the brand and
attracting the people towards the brand. Thus, the company has done many things for
the marketing of its brand, like promotion through print media, promotion through
social media, internet promotion marketing by retail outlets, customer promotion,
launch of tea lounges etc.

In a Morden money using economy finance may be defined as, the provision of
the money at the time when it is needed.
Financial management is concerned with two things which are as under:
 A raising of funds on as favourable terms as possible.
 The efficient allocation of funds within the enterprise.

The tea group mainly manages its finance by retaining profit. However, it should
be noted here that the reason of launching tea lounges is not profit making but the lounges
are launched only and only for advertisement purpose. The company is having the growth
rate of 11.6 % when the overall growth of an industry is 6 to 7 % only.

Thus, the company is maintaining its finance by retaining its profits, as it is
