Background of the Study

Why Social media presence is important for business nowadays. Using Social media
may increase your business Traffic. If people are interested in the type of content you're sharing
and discussing, they’ll likely be interested in finding out where they can get more. Social media is
a popular way for businesses to engage with their target audiences. Social media can help you
build brand recognition, foster a community around your business, and grow your bottom line.
Therefore, establishing a social media presence can play a huge role in generating business
growth. With social media marketing, consistency is key. Maintaining a social media presence will
not only establish your brand, but will help develop connections with existing clients and build
trust with potential clients.

Rational

To determine and distinguish whether social media presence is important or not in


business. Especially in this midst of the pandemic that we are going through, we buy things/foods
in social media and affect our lifestyle and we can't argue that social media has a big impact for a
business either it's a negative or a positive feedback. We also chose this topic since most of our
family members and friends do online selling but not just the person around us doing this but a
lot of people too, we support and help them to share their products in social media, one of the
ways to distinguish what they're selling. Certainly, it means that social media has a big
contribution in a business.

Objectives

The main goal of the research is to know the importance of social media presence in
the business in the philippines. Social media is being used by some business owners today
because of the pandemic to make money. The objective of the current study is the following:
1. To determine the effectiveness of social media presence in business in the philippines.
2.To conduct a survey to know the importance of social media presence for business in the
philippines.
Methodology

-To gather data, we will conduct a survey that will include a checklist of social media platforms that will
analyze which social media platform is most used by businesses here in the Philippines.

-We will gather students that does online selling/small businesses that will answer our survey

-Non-gender basis, We can get our respondents from our closest friends and our classmates that does
online selling/small business, we will do our survey via google forms

-The possible question is:


What social media platform is more used by businesses?
Possible Answer:
Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Anticipated Outcome

Clearly, this proposed study will provide a number of benefits to the following:
—Community of people interested in Business regardless on whether it's online based or not
—University students majoring in any Business Related Degrees
—Business owners and employees
—Citizens/Consumers

This research shall also explain and strengthen the validity of the following
—Significance of Social Media Presence for businesses
—Lack of Promotion and Advertisements can indirectly and directly affect entities and
Establishments
—Encouraging proprietors to Widen their grasp and enhance their entity's social media presence
—How Social Media gives more insight about the economy(including information about worldwide
trends,preference and changes)
