Giving the Value of a Digit in a Given Number
Discussion:
The value of a digit could be arrived at by multiplying said
digit by its place value.
Example:
42,365

5 X 1 = 5
6 X 10 = 60
3 X 100 = 300
2 X 1000 = 2000
4 X 10000 = 40000
42000
Emphasize that adding the values of the digits gives the number.
Another Example :
Identify the value of the underlined digit.
