The creation of two important documents of the
KATIPUNAN, THE DECALOGUE, and Kartilya ng
katipunan.
 The DECALOGUE is have been written by
ANDRES BONIFACIO as instructions to the
members of the katiounan at the start of secret
society. While the kartilya ng katipunan has two
versions from different writers.
 One is bonifacio has a version of kartilya. Which
is actually release that time as an important
document for the katipunan for the katipuneros
to express their commitment in the cause of
katipunan’s purpose as a society.
 The other version of the kartilya is thet of Emilio
Jacinto which bonifacio recognize and adopted.
 In fact he set aside his own kartilya. And he took
the one written by Emilio Jacinto to be learned
by the members of the katipunan.
 Those are the TWO KATIPUNAN DOCUMENTS
 The DECALOGUE was written by andres
bonifacio containg the guiding principles of the
KKK (Kataas-taasang Kagalang-galang Katipunan
ng mga anak ng bayan).
 All katipuneros should follow sampung utos ng
katipunan.
 Right from the very start the katipunan was
founded JULY 7,1892 that was actually the night
before Jose Rizal was thrown to DAPITAN. Was
exiled to Dapitan.
 Rizal was send to dapitan on July 8 1892. This
was the time when the Spanish civil authorities
together with the friars got rid of jose rizal and
the katipuneros or revolutionaries. \
 Because their where already revolutionaries
that they defected even those members of the
Pipilino Intelehensya or the illustrados from
Madrid, spain, Barcelona, to the Philippines.
 Rizal founding the laliga pilipina which is a
counter part of the organizations of the Pilipino
intellectual in Madrid spain.
 The laliga Filipina was founded, the purpose of
organizing the Filipino intellectuals to push
reforms in the government or to separate from
spain.
 Members of Filipino intellectuals is to reform.
They were not thinking of separating from
spain, they were not thinking of cession, they
were thinking of murging the spanish civil
government to institute reforms of the
government.
 The benefits of Indios/natives of the
archipelago because that time those who
receives, enjoyed, priveleges are only the
Spanish nationals
 The peninsulares, the Spaniards born in spain
while in the Philippines are the insulares the
Spaniards born to the Philippines
 TAKE NOTE! That the peninsulares and the
Insulares are Spaniards full blooded Spaniards.
The difference is JUS SOLI or the place of birth.
 The peninsulares are the Spaniards born in
spain. While the INSULARES are born in the
phillipines.
 If your father is a Spaniard your mother is a
Pilipino who are said to be mestizo. So in other
words there are still different treatment when
you have the Spanish blood.
 But the lowest portion of social stratification
during the time of the Spaniards, the lowest
straightum are the Indios/ natives.
 If you belong to that class you are treated
differently. Lower than the upper classes. But
there was also a different to look at.
 Those Filipino elite may you be a mestizo or a
pure blooded Indio or a pure blooded Filipino
during that time who are
economically/academically/educationaly above
the rest of the population. Wecall them tha
