    THE LIFE AND WORKS OF RIZAL

    José Protasio Rizal Mercado y Alonso Realonda or better known as Dr Jose Rizal is considered
    the National Hero of the Philippines. He was one of the brave Filipinos who fought for Philippine
    independence not by force, but by words. Rizal was born on June 19, 1861 and shot in Bagumbayan on
    December 30, 1896. Rizal was born into a wealthy family in Calamba, Laguna and the seventh of eleven
    children of the couple Francisco Engracio Rizal Mercado y Alejandro and Teodora Morales Alonzo
    Realonda y Quintos.

    The best thing about Dr. Jose Rizal is that he is a family oriented person and he is patriotic
    person. He open the minds of people to fight for their freedom against Spanish that’s why he became a
    hero of our country. He also the light that guided us. I also admire his talents and abilities especially in
    courting women. He is very intelligent that’s why his own book, like novels, poetry, painting that
    standout to our country. He master several languages that really made me amazed about him.

    The worst thing I can say about Rizal is that he link to many girls before and being so helpful to
    many people that they will only rely on Rizal's help. Also, sometime he can’t fully understand his
    peopleIn starting the armed rebellion, he was unable to connect with the true feelings of the people from
    bellow.He did not join the revolution because he believed that successful changes should start from on
    high government.
