Wiring
As standard on the Big PACi, Std &Elite PACi they have a separate power supply to indoor and out-
door.

However please note the following.

»» It is perfectly acceptable to run the power from the outdoor to indoor.

»» If you have a larger distance between indoor and outdoor, it is far more cost effective to simply
run the 2-core communication cables and have a separate supply.
»» All indoor units (apart from the ME or PE high static ducted), only require a 6A fused spur.
Therefore if you’re just running a split, it is possible to take the feed from a local lighting circuit or
similar. Be careful on twins, triples etc. and as always they need to be installed to local electrical
regulations.
»» Comms should always be screened both ends when connecting between indoor and outdoor
units.
»» We would never recommend running comms in the same cable as the power (EMI from power) it
should be shielded (0.75mm² min.).
