things in the camporee. I cleaned up the area and set up our tents,

Then I prepared my breakfast. I played games with cubs from other

parts of Bangladesh. I enjoyed the time by singing, painting and

drinkingi tea of seven colours.

The Hare and the Tortoise

Once there lived a hare and a tortoise in a forest. The hare saw the

tortoise when he was walking in the forest. He laughed at the tortoise

because he was the slowest animal in the forest. So, the tortoise

became angry and proposed the hare to run a race. They agreed to

start from a big tree and finish at the river. They called their friends to

watch their race on the mid way. The hare stood beside the tortoise

and the race began. The hare took rest but the tortoise reached the

ending point steadily and won the race. It proves that slow but steady

wins the race.

can’t see. She depends on smell and touch. She has a strong power

of smelling. She can’t enjoy the beauty of nature because she doesn’t

see. She can’t see anything. She can’t see the flowers, the blue sky

other people help her, she can go ahead defying all odds of life
Dream of a Girl with Impaired vision

Everyone has a dream in life. But nobody knows that a girl with

impaired vision has also a dream. Maria is such as a girl. She wants to

set up a school of her own so that she can teach visually impaired

children. Before that she wants to be a writer. She wants to write a

book about her feelings and experience. She wants to show other

impaired people that they can do amazing things. Though she is

visually impaired, she wants to show other blind children that they can

do something great. Indeed, the blind people are helpless but they can

fulfill their dream with strong determination and hard labour.

My Last Birthday Celebration

It was 21st February when I celebrate my last birthday. My mother held a party for

me. I invited my classmates and friends to my birthday party. My mother

prepared many delicious foods such as chicken fry, fish ball and my other foods

and we put up the decorations. When my classmates and friends came, they gave

their presents and said happy birthday to me. We played a lot of games such as

hangman, catching, computer games and other exciting games. After playing the

games, we were hungry and ate the food. My classmates and friends sang the

birthday song to me. I blew the candles and made a wish before cutting the cake.

Then, we ate the cake happily. Everybody enjoyed my party very much. I hope my

mother would hold another birthday party for me next year again.
Cyclone Aila

Cyclone Aila hit the southern part of Bangladesh in 2009.It was an awful natural

disaster. Many people had to die due to this dangerous calamity. It was in the

morning on 25 May 2009 when the wind started to blow slightly and it was

raining lightly. But when it was late afternoon, the wind was blowing heavily.

People felt afraid and they ran to their home for safe shelter. But most of their

houses flew away. People also lost their crops, trees and many other belongings.

After the cyclone, people suffered a lot. They didn’t have drinking water or

sufficient food to eat. Most of the people took shelter in schools and colleges in

their localities.
