- The issue is that they seek for provision of safe, legal abortion of women in Ireland.
2. What reasons are given to support this claim?
- They state that many women who have faced and continue to face, crisis pregnancies.
“The number of women who have died or been seriously wounded physically and
psychologically as a result is unknown but testimonies in the Irish media since Savita
Halappanavar’s death suggest there are many.” (NWCI, 2013).
3. Do you find the position paper convincing? Why or why not?
- No, because they are talking about human rights, they want to make a clear statement
that values women’s right to reproductive autonomy and provide for safe and legal
abortion because many women have died because of that and now they are talking
about human rights which they didn’t include the rights of those children to live.

- The issue of this position paper is that plastic ban can harm our environment because if
we use paper bags it can give negative impact to water resources.

- They stated that paper bags can harm the environment than plastic bags. They also
stated that paper bags consume four times more in water and contribute 14 ties greater
in the eutrophication of bodies of water and paper bags are heavier than plastic bags

- Another theories are presented or another research from another researcher are
presented and also their experiment and results. (The ULS Report in 2007 shows that
the production of conventional plastic bags, compared to that of paper bags, produces
significantly less greenhouse emissions (39% for plastic vs. 68% for paper). It also
consumes less water: 58 gallons per 1 500 plastic bags versus an overwhelming 1 004
gallons per paper bags.)

Yes, because there’s other research from another researcher and the results are given and
presented.

- Yes, I’m afraid to speak out in front of everyone.

K-12 PROGRAM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.

K-12 program is an education system under the department of education. K-12 Program is
implemented in the year of 2013, June 10 by President Benigno Aquino III. President Benigno
Aquino III signed the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 into law and implement the law in
2013. According to Don Carlo Cavina School (n.d.) https://www.doncarlocavinaschool.com/, “the K
to 12 Program covers Kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (six years of primary education,
four years of Junior High School, and two years of Senior High School [SHS])”. It is said that k-12
program provides sufficient time for mastering other concept and to enhance their skills and to be
fully prepared for tertiary level which is the college life.

Other people think k-12 program is just a waste of time on the students and a waste of money for
the parents. Some people disagree about implementing the k-12 program because they said it is
time consuming and it just added burden to both students and teachers and also the parents who
really wants their child to graduate college in no time. People are opposing this program thinking
that it is not essential for anyone and not worth it and doesn’t help students in their future lives
especially to those people who have financial problem.

Yet people only look at the bad side of it and only the negative effects that it brings, they didn’t
think how helpful and essential this program to their child. K-12 program aims to improve the
student’s skill in any subject. This new system offers high quality of education in through strand
and make the productivity of the students even better than before. It helps the students to prepare
for the tertiary level or going to college. People should start appreciating things not only looking for
the negative that it brings but also the good one.
