Direction: Answer the following questions. At this point, you are required to elaborate your answer. (5 points each)
1. Why is air quality getting poorer?
The air quality is getting poorer because of the increasing amount of Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The advancing industrialization of the world causes the depletion of the air quality, because the factors of industrialization makes the number of CO2 increases. The increasing number of cars, factories, buildings and population contributed the most emission of CO2 and the happening of greenhouse effect. Therefore, these factor causes the quality of air depleted.
As a student, how can you contribute in improving the air quality?
As a student, I can inspire other people to do some environmental activities that may help the quality of air increases. Environmental activities like, tree planting, community clean up, and lessen the emission of CO2. And as a student, you must realize the importance or the contribution of our mother nature.
2. How climate change differs from global warming?
Climate is generally a weather condition, while global warming is the event of increasing temperature on earth. Climate and global warming differ from origination, climate is existing in the earth from the start, while global warming emerges because of the increasing number of CO2.
3. Is it too late to prevent climate change? Why you say so?
Yes, because we cannot stop the advancing industrialization and increasing number of populations. Therefore, these factors can cause global warming, and global warming causes the climate to change.
4. Why do we care about atmospheric ozone?
Atmospheric ozone protects us from the glaring heat of the sun and UV light, so if the ozone depletes, the temperature of earth increases and causes many problems on earth like climate change and greenhouse effect, and UV light penetrates on earth causes many illnesses on living things.
5. What emissions from human activities lead to ozone depletion?
Burning of different things increases emission of CO2, increasing number of factories and cars. These activities are the main cause for emitting CO2 that causes the ozone to deplete.
6. How significant waste recycling is?
Waste recycling reduces and lessen the air, land and water pollutions. In terms on air pollution, waste emits bad odor and fumes that causes the air contaminated. Geological lands contaminated by wastes will easily eroded and has a poor quality of lands. And if the wastes contaminated water systems, the marine life will go extinct. Also the benefits of waste recycling increases the quantity of things or object that is necessary for daily activities and for community purposes.
