Dear Sirs,

Subject: Usage of B20 fuel (Bio 20%)

First of all, we would like to express our appreciation for your patronage on our
engines, and we are pleased to report you the captioned matter for any assistance of
the safety operation on your fleets.

1. Back gropund

Recently B20 fuel (Bio 20% mixed) has been used in Indonesia, Thailand, and other
Southeast Asian countries.

2. About use of B20 fuel

B20 can be usable for our engines with proper care. However, BDF have a
potentially detrimental effect on the engines in general way, and the precautions of
using BDF are stated below.

3. Precautions for using B20 fuel

- Use B20 fuel with stable quality and produced with biofuel standard.
- Carry out the maintenance interval shorter than usual.
- Inspect continually the fuel injection nozzle, combustion chamber, condition of the
filter, etc., as well as the temperature, pressure, and condition of the fuel system.
- Do not use NBR (Nitrile Rubber) for gaskets and seals in fuel piping systems, and
use FKM (fluorinated rubber). The internal piping of our engines is fluorinated
rubber except for some old models, so it can be used without any modification/
replacement. It is recommended to change the external piping to a FKM gasket,
etc.
- Clean out the fuel tank prior to feeding the B20 fuel. Mixing BDF to old fuel and
sludge may be adversely affected.

-1-
- Do not use BDF with long-term storage.
- In general, the high mixing ratio BDF have a potentially detrimental effect on the
engines. Therefore, we recommend to contact us before you use B30 or more.

Thanking you in advance for your understanding on this matter, and if any further
query, however, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely Yours

Daihatsu Diesel Mfg. Co. Ltd
