Final Examination

Explain in not less than 8 sentences but not more than 10 sentences. (10 pts. Each)
1. What is a community Immersion?
Community immersion is a blend of classroom learning and field experience aimed at cultivating
potential leaders, community organizers, and educators. It would assist individuals in learning
some life "skills," allowing them to meet new people, and, most importantly, assisting other
community members in seeing themselves as "value" people. Community Immersion assists
students in being better people. It helps students in relating to those in need or those in a less
fortunate setting. This will also help students in learning about and being active in current
environmental and social problems. It allows students to engage in the resolution of group issues.
Also, creates a roadmap for students to develop their abilities, strengths, and potential as leaders
in their communities.
2. Why community immersion is one of the vital elements in the life of the Youth?
Community immersion allows the youth who are not familiar with the people and communities
where they will work immerse themselves in these settings. This gives them the opportunity to
reflect on their assumptions, attitudes, and the knowledge base of their profession and to gain
cultural competence. It is in which young people learn and develop by actively participating in
carefully planned activities that address real-world community needs. This is combined with
relevant learning goals and offers structured time for youth to reflect on what they did and
witnessed during the actual service activity through thinking, talking, or writing about it. This
also offers young people the opportunity to put their newly learned skills and experiences into
practice in their own culture. This extends student learning outside the classroom and into the
community, enhancing what is learned in school. It has to do with social justice and community
development. Via active engagement, this helps to promote a sense of compassion for others.
3. Why Volunteerism is essential method to become a better person?
Volunteerism is essential method to become a better person because we are doing good for
others and the community, which provides a natural sense of accomplishment. Our role as a
volunteer can also give you a sense of pride and identity. And the better feel about ourselves, the
more likely we are to have a positive view of our life and future goals. Volunteering connects us
to others and one of the more well-known benefits of volunteering is the impact on the
community. Volunteering allows us to connect to our community and make it a better place.
Even helping out with the smallest tasks can make a real difference to the lives of people,
animals, and organizations in need. And volunteering is a two-way street: It can benefit us and
our family as much as the cause we choose to help. Dedicating our time as a volunteer helps us
make new friends, expand your network, and boost your social skills.
4. What is the purpose of social mobilization in the life of the youth?

Social mobilization is a strategy that emphasizes the importance of group engagement. It

employs deliberate participatory mechanisms to engage local institutions, local officials,
community organizations, and community members in collaborative efforts to achieve a common
goal. Respect for the neighborhood and its needs characterizes community mobilization. It is the
process of bringing together as many stakeholders as possible to raise youth's awareness of and
demand for a particular programme, to assist in the delivery of resources and services, and to
strengthen community participation for sustainability and self-reliance. The greatest benefits of
Social mobilization are to build community capacity and to help the community identify and
address its own needs. It is an important means to advance sustainable development policy by
making it more responsive and accountable to people's needs and demands. Youth are valuable
assets to their communities; however, they are often left out of decision making and
go unheard. Building opportunities for youth to learn about data and advocacy inspire them to
speak up about inequities in health, housing, and employment and introduce them to new careers.
5. As a NSTP student how can you help to those people or family who are suffer in
terms of poverty? (individual & aggregate)

As a NSTP student I can you help to those people or family who are suffer in terms of poverty is
FIRST through taking action on my own. There are a few simple ways we can help as
individuals, such as funding a poor child’s education or by sponsoring a poor family and
influencing others to do so. Raising money and donating it to a nonprofit can help as well.
SECOND is to donate, donations can help in so many ways. They do not always have to take the
form of money. This can include donating books to a poor child or buying groceries for a poor
family for a week to help fight hunger. Donating old clothes, furniture and toiletries can also help
improve the well-being of the poor. THIRD is creating awareness. Social media has become an
integral part of daily life, and now is the time to use it as a voice of social good. Sharing links on
Facebook, Twitter and other platforms will allow people to learn more about global poverty and
will increase the general consciousness of the issue.

Good Luck and God
