What do we use and to explore

space?

Telescope
❖ A telescope is an instrument used to see objects that
are far away.
❖ Telescopes are often used to view the planets and
stars.
❖ A telescope is a tool that astronomers use to see
faraway objects.
❖ Telescope invented in 1608.
❖ Most telescope are smaller and bigger.
Rocket

➢ A rocket is a missile, spacecraft, aircraft or

other vehicle that obtains thrust from a
rocket engine.
➢ The first rocket was invented around 1100
AD in China.
➢ Robert Hutchings Goddard invented the
Rocket.
➢ Scientists use telescopes in space
because the Earth's atmosphere distorts
some of our light and view.
➢ Rockets have changed the world
completely and have given new eyes for
the universe.
Binocular telescope

❏ The first binocular telescope was invented

by J. P. Lemiere in 1825.
❏ Binoculars or field glasses are two
telescopes mounted side-by-side and
aligned to point in the same direction,
allowing the viewer to use both eyes when
viewing distant objects.
❏ People can use to see a star or animal
anything etc.
❏ It can see anything your eye can see, just
10x bigger or closer.
Hubble Space Telescope

➔ The Hubble Space Telescope is a large

telescope in space.
➔ The Hubble Space Telescope is a space
telescope that was launched into low
Earth orbit in 1990 and remains in
operation.
➔ Earth's atmosphere changes and blocks
some of the light that comes from space.
➔ Then Hubble uses radio waves to send the
pictures through the air back to Earth.
The International Space Station

● The International Space Station

is currently the largest
man-made object in space.
● The International Space Station
is a large spacecraft in orbit
around Earth.
● A space station, also known as
an orbital station.
● The ownership and use of the
space station is established by
intergovernmental treaties and
agreements.
Large telescope in space observatory
A. A space telescope or space observatory is
a telescope located in outer space to
observe distant planets, galaxies and other
astronomical objects.
B. A large number of observatories have
been launched into orbit, and most of
them have greatly enhanced our
knowledge of the cosmos.
Model Voyager space probe
A. The Voyager program is an American
scientific program that employs two
robotic probes. Voyager 1 and Voyager 2,
launched in 1977 to take advantage of a
favorable alignment of Jupiter, Saturn,
Uranus, and Neptune.
B. In 1977, NASA launched the twin Voyager
spacecraft to probe the outer reaches of
our solar system.
Rover
01. A rover is a planetary surface exploration
device designed to move across the solid
surface on a planet or other planetary
mass celestial bodies.
02. Like a car on Earth, the rover uses its
odometer to click off the distance it has
traveled.
03. The rover wheels might have a hard time
grasping onto the loose-gravel ground.
04. The wheels could spin in place before they
actually gain tracking.
