Exceptions to normal updates / patching

Ø Due to Covid-19, we allowed customers to change / delay 20A
updates. Some pushed into May.
Ø This had an affect on 20B and some dates changed, but still within
May-July.
Ø All updates should be back to normal schedule with 20C.
Avoiding Regressions
Ø This is a real focus for Oracle and the Logistics team
Ø We had a 10% reduction from 19C to 20A
Ø We have made process / product changes to further reduce
Ø We ask you to help by testing early on your partner pods

Introduction to OCI

What is OCI?
Ø Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a set of complementary cloud
services that enable customers to build and run a wide range of
applications and services in a highly available hosted environment.
Ø In addition to customers directly using Infrastructure-as-a-Service
(IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), all Oracle SaaS services are
migrating to this new Infrastructure
Ø Within our documentation we refer to OCI as Oracle Generation 2
Cloud Infrastructure (Gen2)
When will OTM/GTM be available on OCI?
Ø New Customer Provisioning of OTM/GTM started on April 14, 2020
Introduction to OCI

How can I determine if a customer’s instance are Gen2?

Ø If it is an Oracle Public Cloud, the URL of the instance ends in one of
the following:
- .otm.us6.oraclecloud.com
- .otm.us2.oraclecloud.com
- .otm.em2.oraclecloud.com
- .otm.em3.oraclecloud.com
Ø If it is a Gen2 instance, the URL ends in one of the following:
- otmgtm.us-phoenix-1.ocs.oraclecloud.com
- otmgtm.us-ashburn-1.ocs.oraclecloud.com
- otmgtm.uk-london-1.ocs.oraclecloud.com
- otmgtm.eu-frankfurt-1.ocs.oraclecloud.com
OCI Gen2
Where is OTM/GTM Available?
Ø Phoenix, Ashburn, Frankfurt, and London
How are existing customers handled?
Ø Existing customers will eventually be migrated to Gen2, but the date
is TBD.
Ø Existing customers that purchase an Additional Instance or add-on
options, will have that instance provisioned in the same data center
as current Production
What is the impact to OTM customers?
Ø Customer Provisioning Process
Ø Single Sign-On
Ø Stricter Email Policies
