debate. The social media is a channel which let us express our opinion or comment on others
opinion.However, a part of netizen have intense dispute and the harmful opinion during the public

To begin with, there a lot of information has been exaggerated. Some of the media or internet
celebrity in order to grab attention, they will overstate the information that it is not make sense.For

As well as exaggerated information, the harmful opinion will enhance opposition between divide
among the society. People have different complaint maybe be more extreme during the discuss,
turning into different denomination in the society. For example, Hong Kong originate the social
movement in 2019, the government supporter and the protester supporter will voice a lot of
extreme opinion to attack the other side. As the Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement
begins, Hong Kong start to social cleavage. It demonstrates that the harmful opinion will enhance
opposition between divide among the society.

Last but no least, a lot of trolls will cyber-bullying other people oppose them. When some netizen
voice their opinion, the trolls will verbal attack them because of the opposition opinion. For
example, the trolls will doxxing to the victims that publish to the social media platform like ‘LIHKG’.
The assailant will find the victims personal information such as adress, the real name and phone
number. This behavior will make the netizen scare to voice their opinion. Thus, cyber-bullying lead
to netizen frighten to voice their opinion that stifle public debate on social media.

To conclude, people can do as one please on the social media because of anonym. Therefore,
we can use the traditional platform to continue our positive public debate like newspaper, radio or
letter. I think they are more reliable because they will reduce their anger and resentment during
