1. Twitter is popular compared to other social media platforms for several reasons. One
reason is its real-time nature, allowing users to share and consume information instantly. In
my opinion, twitter is more popular in a way that people can share their thoughts and even
current news whenever they want without limitations. Twitter has become a hub for news
and trending topics, making it a go-to platform for staying informed and engaging in
discussions. Lastly, I think it is more popular than other social media because people can
easily share their opinions, good or bad and then hide their identity through dummy
accounts. Additionally, according to a study by Pew Research, Twitter is the most used social
media platform among journalists, which further contributes to its popularity.

2. In my understanding Cyberbullying refers to bullying through the internet or with the use
of social media platforms such as twitter, face book, and the like. It refers to the use of
technology, such as social media, to harass, intimidate, or harm others. It can involve
sending threatening messages, spreading rumours, sharing embarrassing photos or videos,
or creating fake profiles to impersonate and humiliate individuals. Cyberbullying happens in
our society due to various reasons, including the ease of spreading information/rumours
online, and the lack of face-to-face interaction, which can lead to a sense of detachment. The
netizens, most of the time forget that a person is on the other side of the screen, who has
feelings and emotions just like them. Additionally, the online environment provides a platform
for individuals to target others without immediate consequences, leading to an increase in
cyberbullying incidents [source: StopBullying.gov].

3. Fortunately, no I haven’t experienced cyberbullying but I witness it every single day in

every platform, especially on twitter, facebook and tiktok. I witness how people drop mean
comments on the comment section just to hate and harass others for no reason. This made
me realize that the most toxic part of social media is on their comment sections. Because it
is where they drop insights that has the ability to either make or break a person. Thus, as a
respond on this I try to combat these comments with comforting and supportive words to at
least make the victims feel better and assure them that they are not alone. Aside from that

4. I can use Social Media for helpful purposes and beneficial platforms in various ways. First
of all is to connect with other people. Social media allows me to connect with my family,
friends, classmates, and others across the globe. It can be a platform to share common
interests, supporting each other, and establishing and preserving long lasting relationship.
In addition, I can also use social media to share information or to raise awareness. As a
student nurse I can use these platforms to raise awareness on diseases such as HIV, COVID-
19, pertussis, and etc. By using these platform I can be able disseminate helpful and
important information to a broader audience. Furthermore, social media platforms are also
helpful in education and learning. I can utilize Social media platforms for educational
purposes. Many educational institutions and organizations use social media to share
educational content, facilitate discussions, and provide learning resources to students. And
Lastly I can also use social media to promote creativity and self-expression. I can use it to
inspire other people to express themselves in a good way instead of using it to harass others.
