Good ethics is a fundamental requirement of any profession, it leads us to maintain our


reputable image. Our level of professionalism can make or break our career. Professional ethics
among educators is like a guide, which facilitates the teacher to provide quality education as well
as inculcate good values among the learners. In line with Midwifery Education, this annual
convention is geared to assist the faculty, administrators and midwifery leaders balance
professionalism and ethics in the workplace and augment their skills to be effective educators and
leaders.
It is an immense pleasure that the Association of Philippine Schools of Midwifery
(APSOM) is organizing its First Virtual Annual Convention with the theme: "Professionalism and
Ethics in Midwifery Education" on May 19 - 21, 2021. In this regard, may we invite you, your

Objectives:
1. Assist midwifery education administrators and faculty members balance
professionalism and ethics with the reality of legal concerns during the decision-
making process.
2. Recognize the importance of professionalism and ethics in promoting leadership and
management in the midwifery education.
3. Identify how to balance professionalism and ethics in the workplace through
professional and personal development.
4. Augment skills of the midwifery leaders and educators in managing the program
