1. What are the contributions of the badminton players to their city or country which they
represent? Explain your answer in 150 words.

Peter Gabriel Magnaye de Jesus is a Filipino badminton player. He won the men's
doubles title at the 2014 Swiss International tournament with Paul Jefferson Vivas, and the
mixed doubles title at the 2019 Sydney International with Thea Marie Pomar. While Kento
Momota, is a Japanese badminton player. He is known to have a skillful and relentless play style
on court. He has won several major badminton tournaments including two World
Championships titles, two Asian Championships titles, and one All England title. Momota
entered into Guinness Book of World Records for "The most badminton men's singles titles in a
season", for his achievements by winning 11 titles in the 2019 season. They are both badminton
athletes, and they are not just athletes but also heroes. Heroes abound not just in the popular
sports like basketball, boxing, volleyball and billiards. They are heroes who brought tremendous
honor to the country in excelling in their sport. Athletes are country’s pride.

2. What are the benefits of playing badminton in our body especially in this current situation
that we have? Explain your answer in 250 words.

Badminton is like tennis, a wonderful racquet sport with numerous benefits to the
person playing it. It is a fun and exciting kind of game to participate in if you are looking for an
activity to stimulate the mind and physical fitness. Badminton burns fat at a rate of
approximately 450 calories per hour. It is impressive as it maintains the shape and balance of an
individual. The fast pace while playing improves the speed and reflexes of a person. It enhances
the intellectual capacity of a player when deceiving their opponents. Playing badminton also
builds up the muscles such; as the calves and the back muscles. The psychological benefit of
badminton is that it helps lessen stress and anxiety. Exercise increases endorphins, which are
the neurotransmitters of the brain. It improves sleep and an individual’s mood. Moreover,
badminton promotes the social health of the participant. Social interactions while on a game
will bring about a positive feeling to other people. Playing badminton improves the flexibility
and muscle strength of the participant. Playing badminton can be an effortless and fun way of
losing or shading- off some weight. All in all, badminton is an enjoyable sport. It is a fitness
game. It is not just for you to become healthy but also learn the skills and thinking why just a
shuttlecock will produce a significant influence on humans to play badminton. Lastly, let me
emphasize that we have to do a warm-up first once we play badminton. After that, you all have
to warm-down due to it can release the muscle strength because it is not easier to get injured
in the long term view.
