between the various forms of the Planck radiation equation and emphasizes that it
is a differential equation which gives intensity or energy density of radiation per
unit wavelength or per unit frequency - not intensity or energy density as a
function of wavelength or frequency, as wrongly stated by some authors. This
understanding of the Planck radiation equation relates to the relationship between
the maxima of the Planck equation in the wavelength and frequency domains, which
cannot otherwise be explained. The Stefan - Boltzmann Law and the change in the
glow of a hot body with temperature are also discussed.
