Learning Activity no.

ITRODUCTION TO ASSESSMENT
(Reflection)

In some other places, we cant avoid to judge people about of what are they wearing, what
are they looks like, on what are they doing for a living, etc. In other words we always make judge
others because we are uncomfortable of what we see to them or either we just want to satisfy
ourselves by pointing out all the unnecessary things about them. But in school, we make judge not
just the students but also the teachers, staffs and the school itself. We judge it not just by pointing out
their worst points but we judge them to define the weaknesses and strength of oneself for them to
find the solution of their problem and to make improvement of what they are lack of.

FUNCTION OF ASSESSMENTS
(Reflection)

There are so many ways on how we going to assess or to judge a person or a thing. And it
uses defends on who or what they assessing. We judge for a reason and it is for to define its problem,
find its solution, make an improvement and to succeed. We all know that we cannot find our
weaknesses and strength by ourselves we need someone to challenge us to make us realize that there
is something wrong with us or to know what we are lack of. By then, we can know how to use our
skills and abilities to improve ourselves until we can be a better and successful person in the future.

KIND OF TESTS
(Reflection)

We always given a test to challenge ourselves and also to know how much we have learned.
In a dining table each set of utensils have its purpose, just like in a test, all the test given is defends on
its uses. Like for example, there is a test to test your abilities, personalities, communication skills, etc.
so its not just a simple test where you write your answers its a test where you write yourselves to be a
better person for the future. It is also like a fortune teller, it can simply know what we are going to be
in the future.

VALIDITY
(Reflection)

In building a house, carpenters use measuring tools to get the right proportion of the woods,
cement, etc., and they use the right product for them to get the outcome of what their client wants,
just like in test, if you want to measure something about your students the question in your test must
be accurate to the things that you want to know about your students. For example, if you want test
the self-esteem of your students the question of your test must be about the self-esteem. And if you
use different question that is far from what you want to measure, then your test is not valid. Like in
building the house, if their client wants a bahay-kubo and they use a cement then its not valid
because the product they use doesn't measure the like of their client.

RELIABILITY
(Reflection)

Tests have a big impact in the life of students so that it is important to have good test. One of
the basis to know if a test is good or bad, by means of Reliability. If a person is reliable it is mean that
this person is trustworthy, we know that if we give him a task or work he/she well do it with no
problem, in other words he/she is consistent. Just like in testing, we can say if a test is reliable if the
test is consistent measuring its variables. For example, we give a test on a student on the day 1 then
he get a high mark and on the day 7 you give again a test on that student and he gets the same mark
and that we can say the test is reliable.

PRACTICABILITY
(Reflection)

We are now facing a crisis that make us to earn and save money. And because we cannot
spend so much money we are being practical in everything, like for example if we are having a family
get together instead of buying paper plates and plastic utensils we use a banana leaves as our plates
from that it will lessen the expenses. Just like in having a test, we all know that it is not just one or ten
of the students will take exams it could be more than the number and right after the exam you are
responsible to check the papers so will you do, you have to prepare a key to correction before the
exam, then the exam should be in either multiple choice or identification so that you can check the
papers easier, in that way it will lessen your time and effort to check the papers that is called
practicability. You are being practical to make your work easier.
