ESSAY:
Information technology management is wide spread in the world. Every
man by nature wants to get firsthand knowledge of the things, for this
purpose many means are adopted. In the past books and engraved slabs
were used to store knowledge. Most of the people used their memory for
this purpose then invented electronic devices such as gramophone records,
tape recorders, video recorders used for the storage of the knowledge
computer. The most modern device for this purpose is computer.
Although man can remember lot things yet it needs help as an extended
brain. Computer is basically an extended brain. It has been in human use
for the centuries ago. The Egyptians and the Greeks used different kinds of
computers. Now the computers are operated by men by striking keys of a
type writer. This key board transmits the information or data to the
computer which displays it on the monitor screen and keeps it reserved in
the floppy, disc, laser disc or hard disc. The files reproduce the required
information through the windows. If it is required in written form the
printer comes to help us.

As it is clear from its definition that basically meant for the storage of
information. The computer saves us from the heaps and, piles of registers
and files. Whenever we enter in some office we come across the shelves
filled with files. They are maintained to keep the data and record up-to-
date. With the help of computer, we are able to maintain only within a disc
or floppy. In this way it saves lot of stationery registers and files. Further we
can get the required information without loss of time immediately. A large
number of electrical staff is required to maintain the record but with the
use of computer they are not required. In this way the national
expenditures will be saved.

Most modern research work in every field of life is being done in every part
of the world. It can be shared all over the world through the use of
computer Internet and Email. Heavy mechanical complexes their
technology and other information’s can be found and made available to
everyone through the charts which have been programmed fed in the
computer. In agriculture, in medicine, in war, in development and
construction computer is required to share knowledge.

Although it can be used in education and is useful in other fields of life, yet
it should be used sparingly. A single computer can do the work of hundreds
of the Clerks then they will be jobless. In this way unemployment will be
increased. It will cause unrest. Too much use of computers in doing the
sums and calculations will make man idle. Keeping in view the fact that
disorders born in the computer such as virus can remove all the
information from the disc which will be irreparable loss. Moreover one
stroke of digit may cause difference of millions. If the proper voltage is not
provided to the computer or if the power breaks down, the results will be
slow or defective. Some important and sensitive information can be stolen
by the foreign enemies, if they are not properly locked. It is clear that
although it is useful. Yet Cando a great harm at the same time. Therefore it
should be used carefully and cautiously.
