Summary of key ideas I learned 10 points.

 Polynomial functions - I learned that polynomial function is a function such as a quadratic , a

cubic, a quartic, and so on , involving only non negative integers power of x.
 Synthetic division - I learned that synthetic division is another way to divide a polynomial by the
binomial x – c, where c is a constant.
 Remainder theorem- i learned that remainder theorem is if a polynomial f (x) is divided by (x-a),
the remainder is f(a).
 Factor theorem - I learn not factor theorem states that if f (a) = 0 for a polynomial then (x-a) is a
factor of the polynomial f(x).
 Zero of a polynomial function - I learned that the zero of a function are the values of x when f(x)
is equal to 0. This means that when f(x) =0, x is a zero of the function.
 Rational zeroes theorem – I learned that We can use the Rational Zeros Theorem to find all the
rational zeros of a polynomial. And its state’s that if P(x) is a polynomial with integer
coefficients and if is a zero of P(x) (P( ) = 0), then p is a factor of the constant term of P(x)
and q is a factor of the leading coefficient of P(x).

 Descartes’ Rules of signs ( Table of Signs) – I learned that it is the Rule for determining the
maximum number of positive real number solutions (roots) of a polynomial equation in one
variable based on the number of times that the signs of its real number coefficients change
when the terms are arranged in the canonical order (from highest power to lowest power). For
example, the polynomial x5 + x4 – 2x3 + x2 – 1 = 0

 Properties of Power of Functions

 if the function is an even function the value of f(−x) f(−x) is same as the value
of f(x)f(x) for every value of xx, then the function is even. An even function has a
reflection about the y-axis, follows a rule of f (-x) = f (x) for all values of x.
 If the function is an odd function that is, the function on one side of x-axis” is sign
inverted with respect to the other side or graphically, symmetric about the origin.

 End Behavior of polynomial functions – I learned that The end behavior of a polynomial
functions is the behavior of the graph of f(x)f(x) as xx approaches positive infinity or negative
infinity. So, the sign of the leading coefficient is sufficient to predict the end behavior of the
function.
 Number of Turning Points – I learned that A turning point is a point of the graph where the
graph changes from increasing to decreasing (rising to falling) or decreasing to increasing (falling
to rising). A polynomial of degree n will have at most n – 1 turning points.

• In an organization, each individual has a distinct function and task to accomplish for the
realization of the organization’s mission. - Yes I discovered that if each of everyone knows
what’s their distinct functions and task they could quickly and easily solve the any task to
accomplish a goal on their mission.

• You can always find a better way to solve a problem. Just be sure that it will be for everyone’s
good.

Yes, we can always find a way to solve a problem especially if it is for the good of all. This will give a
hope and motivation to solve , and fix what’s the problem is. Cause there is no problem that have no
Answer.

• Every journey begins with the first step. If you opt not to take it, you go nowhere. Solving a
problem is Similar. You need to of a first move and take the first move. In time a solution is
achieve
Yes, We need to take a risk cause if we want to achieve what are goal is, we need to accept or
take what’s the step is, because the first step is the start of all. Without the first step, the
journey of our destination is inaccessible. It’s just like we need to take a ride in a bus in order to
reach the place that we want.
