1. Based on the article, identify the different drivers of supply chain discussed and explain each
drivers being applied and used in the hospitality industry.

 PRODUCTION
Production is one of the most important drivers of supply chain because it is the
process where the products are being created. To start, it is essential that proper
planning and supply of goods are well maintained. It is also considered as a entire
system of producing and delivering products or service.
 INVENTORY
Part of the major drivers of supply which includes several different aspects such as
controlling and overseeing a product or purchases from suppliers and customers,
maintaning the storage of stock, controlling the amount of product for sale and order
fullfilment.
 LOCATION/FACILITY
It also plays as a crucial role in supply chain because logistics activities are included to
this. To this place, it has a great impact of supply chain management and it is a place
where inventory is stored, manufactured or assembled.
 TRANSPORTATION
Is very important in Supply Chain because without transportation the product or
goods will not reach the destination. Aside from this transportation is also important to
people without it we can go to the place that we wanted to go. For Example, you want
to go to Boragay for your vacation of course you need a transport to ride to get there so
your going to do is book a flight going to boracay and the transportation you need is
airplane.
 INFORMATION
Acts as a basis for making various decisions the supply chain. If the information is not
understood properly, it can distrupt the whole supply chain and consequences may be
fatal for retailer's fate.
2. Identify the different participants of supply chain in hospitality industry and discuss the
functions of each.

 PRODUCERS
These are organizations that make a product. Not the one who make the real
product it is the materials or the things that needed to produce a product and it is a
business that produce goods and services such as raw material. There are functions of
Producers first is to produce an innovative goods and services to a consumers, second is
to check and ensure the quality of a product they produce, and also producers they're
responsible for the rules or regulations wherever in order to provide benefits not only to
the consumers but also to the communities around which the producers operate.
 DISTRIBUTOR
This Organization are the one who get and care of services and goods in finished from
the producers. They are also assign to know where and when the products will be
delivered to monitor their inventory and sales and also they know what products does
the consumer need to purchase. And they also have a function first is they are the one
who distribute the goods to the consumers also to monitor the production of goods.
Also the functions makes it easier for consumers to get or buy the goods or services
needed.
 RETAILER
Is the who are supplying or managing the needs of hospitality industries this is the
one of giving an item or selling goods for the business owner's.
 CUSTUMERS
This are the people that are buying goods and item in the hospitality management
the example for this is the customer are going to the restaurant to have lunch and it will
be a source of income for them.
 SERVUCE PROVIDERS
Service Providers are the one who is giving business or income for the people or
business owner's in the field of hospitality for example of this are the business opening
and the way of giving work for the people needs it.
3. Discuss the importance of supply chain in the hospitality industry in connection to the major
drivers and participants of supply chain.

 The Importance of Supply Chain in the Hospitality Industry is an element within Hotel &
Restaurant Management helps in enormous reduction of costs by developing and
implement contracts and agreements with suppliers of hospitality products and
services, securing for the hotels competitive prices be if for food and beverage, rooms or
property operations. It is a major drivers that nfluence the performance of the supply
chain. Companies can develop and manage these drivers to emphasize the ideal balance
between responsiveness and efficiency, depending on your business and financial
requirements.
 The decisions you make about the five supply chain drivers will guide your supply chain
capabilities. Depending on changing business objectives, each of these drivers can be
created and managed to emphasize responsiveness or efficiency. As you learn more
about how a supply chain works, you'll have a better understanding of the challenges it
encounters and the talents it requires to succeed. To achieve those capabilities, adjust

 Within the hotel and catering industries, the supply chain is critical. It is critical for
employees in this field to maintain stable relationships with suppliers and work with a
reliable ordering system in order to improve customer service. Hospitality chains on the
cutting edge are going beyond inventory control systems to invest. Intelligence
technologies that aid in the collection, rationalization, and analysis of historical and real-
time purchase data. The construction of a supply chain leads to a greater understanding
of the entire chain, making common standards easier to execute. It is implicit and
evident that the basis of competition in many areas will change in the coming era of
hyper-competition. The development of supply chains will be crucial to all sectors.
 In my perspective supply chain is important onto hospitality management, it is a major
drivers that coordinate the management as well as the strategy that gather the data
information, resources and materials to deliver the product and services. And also to
develop and implement the said contracts and agreements within the suppliers, there
has a basic components of supply chain in hospitality such as plan, source, make,
deliver and return. Included the factors components which is known as
 -partnership
 -customer relationship and
 -level of information for sharing.
