QUESTION NO. 1
ANSWER.
 If I were in the shoes of Prof. Vilamin, I would persuade the academic affair of the school administrator Dr.
Leonard Gaspar to give him a chance to perform his task not just a standing professor that seek to take and
accomplish an academic learning for his student but a professor that provide multiple knowledge,
encouragement, and memorable fun experience for his student to grab the opportunity to learn. He must
show what kind of person he was a man with one word and sense of responsible to take care and watch
over his students during and after the tour activity in Boracay was ended, the school ground until all the
student was sent to their home safe and lively. Although an accident happened in the past before Prof.
Villamin it does not mean the accident should remain to scare and hinder the student to give up on a one-
time learning experience. May be this is a time to take the action to clear the name of the school and make a
better opportunity for student by making a safer and well monitor environment to remain and secure the life
of every individual students to be safe as they are following the order of the school policies to ensure their
well-being during outside the campus activity. However, accidents are prown especially on some areas that
come in contact with a person who are new at one place. In case of accident happened in the student during
the out-side trip activity the school administrator and the on-duty Professor would be liable for the damage
it causes as delegating supervisor of these student during this time. Example, if the student life was put in
risk and danger or it led to take or end the life of a student. In order to avoid the repetition of the accident
happened in Batangas the school and professor must create and review the school policy, protocol, proper
documentation, conducting a transparent bidding with travel and tour providers, providing operational and
security controls and seek permission or consent on the parent or guardian of the students who are part of
the class to make sure that the goal and objective of supplementing classroom lecture is being achieve and
rules and regulations are being followed careful by the respected student of the university school to make it
into successful learning activity. I remember during my elementary days we have a Field trip going to
museum and parks, I observe that the school provided a supervisor in every class section which is our
teacher advisor. She have responsible prior knowledge of the pupils including any special education needs,
medical needs, regularly checking that the entire group is present, have the means to contact the group
leader if need help, can anticipate any potential risk by recognizing hazard, continuously monitor the
appropriateness of all activities and the physical and mental condition and abilities of the group and
suitability of prevailing conditions, ensure that all pupils are aware and know what to do in case they
become separated from the group, have clear understanding of emergency procedures and have appropriate
access to first aid to carry them out, and more.

ANSWER.

a) Raffy has settle his life for over nine years of working hard to give his brother a comfortable life in the
Philippines, until he finally saves money to send his brother Andrew flight in Dubai and be united again as
the ‘‘Alvares Brother’’. Andrew his younger brother has a ultimate goal that is to fulfil a lifelong dream to
eventually move in Canada with his older brother and from their they can settle down their life as their
mother dream with them when they are still little. But the conflict in the story a rise when he finds out that
his brother has a small saving in his account because of flirting with so many girls and lending money to
other Filipino abroad. Andrew work during day time in the restaurant and during the night time he applies
as a parttime driver in the city known as Taxi driver to earn more money as fast as possible so he can
immediately travel going in Canada and live his own life there after he realize that his brother is settling in
Dubai and chasing his love for Faye.

b) In my opinion the visa used by the main character in the film Dubai is Resident Visa. Because Raffy, Faye
has been working and staying in Dubai for almost or more than 9 years while Andrew a new comer in
Dubai start working in the Hotel with a contract valid for 4 working months and then he can apply for the
employment visa (This conversation of Raffy and Andrew can be seen around 51:12 time duration of the
film). This kind of visit for foreign national must have a Resident Visa for those who want to live in UAE
for a long period of time or term. In addition to this to be allowed to work in Dubai I think these main
characters has a working permit for the UAE that’s why Raffy, Faye and Andrew can work in the Post
Office, in the Hotel, Company, Taxi driver or any working job offer in UEA as long as there is employer
that is willing to hire you for a job offer. This is one of the important procedures to produce the
employment visa and the working permit for the UAE.
