Main Problem

Improper disposal of waste and inefficient management of garbage which causes both air and
water pollution that greatly contributes in the climate change.

Specific Problem

a) People in the Dasmarinas City Cavite especially in barangay and subdivision stored their waste
improperly at vicinity
b) Garbage collector consumes a lot of time in sorting and compacting the garbage

Causes of the Problem

a) People do not know where they can properly store the garbage so they tend to put it in along
the road and vicinity
b) Due to the higher amount of waste produced in a community, it causes to require a lot of man
power to manage the waste properly

Effects of the Problem

a) Garbage collector needs a lot of effort and time managing the waste
b) Health hazards (can result from over-exposure to a hazardous substance, ranging from minor
inconveniences like headaches and skin rashes to much more serious afflictions such as skin
burns, organ damage, allergic-type reactions, and even death)
c) Soil, water and air pollution can all be a result of improper waste disposal and occurs when
either of them becomes contaminated with hazardous materials.

MOSQUITO EGG SHELL REPELLENT MACHINE

Main Problem

Mosquitoes carry serious diseases such as malaria, dengue, and yellow fever. These diseases
spread quickly from one person to the next. Without prevention like repellant, it will bring death among
people. However, most of the repellant did not use waste like egg shell in killing mosquito.

Specific Problem

a) Dengue, the world's most important mosquito-borne viral disease, is endemic in the Philippines.
During 2008–2012, the country's Department of Health reported an annual average of 117,065
dengue cases, placing the country fourth in dengue burden in southeast Asia. (Edilo et al., 2015)
b) About 250,000 tons of eggshell waste is produced annually worldwide (Verma et al. 2012).

Cause of the Problem

a) Prevention of mosquito is not enough to its highly population.

b) hot climates attract mosquitoes providing them the perfect breeding grounds to breed which
are the causes of mosquito infestations.
c) Wherever there is stagnant water, that's where mosquitoes thrive.
d) People produce higher amount of eggshell waste

a) Nearly 700 million people contract mosquito-borne illnesses each year, causing more than one
million deaths.

Main Problem

Traditional steel bar bending like bend rebar by hand Pipe exerts too much time and energy
which is not an efficient way.

a) Bend rebar by hand (Pipe) causes fatigue, and muscles injury to the workers
b) Bend rebar causes serious injury.
c) It consumes a lot of time and energy on using bend rebar by hand.

Cause of the Problem

a) Person tend to put too much effort since steel bar is hard to bend
b) Without a proper control of a person in bending the steel bar it will cause strain to the muscle
and it can also lead to serious injury.
c) It consumes time since force coming form the person is not enough to constantly bend the steel
bar.
d) There is no safety measurement in bending the steel bar

Effects of the Problem

a) Inefficient production of creating reinforcing bar

are used to power industrial society are diminishing as the demand rises. These natural resources are in
limited supply. While they do occur naturally, it can take hundreds of thousands of years to replenish
the stores.

Specific Problem

a) Most of the streetlight especially in the center island dependently consumes electrical power
coming from electric company.
b) The Philippine has a lower percentage of renewable energy. The current energy mix in the
Philippines is composed of coal (47%), natural gas (22%), renewable energy (hydro, geothermal,
wind, solar) (24%), and oil-based (6.2%) with current energy capacity at 23GW.
c) The Philippines is facing a mounting energy crisis as the Malampaya gas fields deplete, supplying
30% of Luzon`s energy consumption, are expected to be depleted by 2024.

Causes of the Problem

a) An ever-increasing population, an Administration-mandated infrastructure boom, and some of

the highest electricity costs in S.E cause the higher demand of electricity
b) Streetlight solely depends on electricity coming from coal

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

As the number of COVID-19 cases increase, the researchers observe the current
situation wherein the necessity for its prevention is needed. This study is to provide a product or
a machine in which it can be useful to the said situation. Thus, this study sought to answer the
following questions:

1. What is the efficiency of the machine? How efficient is it?

2. What is the maximum strength and capacity of the Automated Money Payment in
Jeepney?

3. What is the compatible design to install the machine in jeepney?

4. What is the costing of the machine? Is the machine worth the price based on its
efficiency?

5. How to maintain the machine and how long is the lifespan of it?

OBJECTIVE (OR IMPORTANCE) OF THE STUDY

The general objective of the study is to provide a design of an Automated Money

Payment in Jeepney that will give additional protective measure in which the rate of
transmission of the virus will lessen. Moreover, the following specific objectives are listed below.
