Analysis critical concepts and skill process of bomb calorimeter was analyzing
by optimizing of bomb calorimeter experiments. However, in this experiment
you will see on how the coal change

Laboratory Setup
The setup for the bomb calorimeter experiment is consist of calorimeter and
oxygen combustion vessel
The first and foremost thing is the room where you want to create a laboratory
setup. The room can be large or small, as per your requirements.
Large rooms are always preferred for lab setup, though you can get things done
with the small sized room as well. The problem with small rooms is that they
lack proper ventilation.
Moreover, the lack of space can create some accidents. So, in the case of small
rooms, extra cautions must be attained. The lab room requires the following
things:
There must be a sink to wash chemical and other apparatus. Keeping
expensive apparatus without proper washing can lead to damages to
those products.
A well functional bio-safety cabinet is required for storing the materials
which should not be contaminated by infectious elements like bacteria,
virus etc. by any means.
Clean clothes are important to have inside the laboratories. You need to
find the clothes that are neat and clean. They are used for cleaning the
equipment and benches etc. Make sure that these clothes are washable
as well as reusable.
If you are planning for setting up a chemical laboratory, you need
chemically resistant work surfaces for protecting your lab from damages.
Electrical wiring must be done with perfection otherwise major fire
hazards can occur. If that happens, you must face a lot of losses.
Procedure
Measure 1 gram sample for the experiment using the analytical balance.
After that put the sample coal into pellet maker, after we turn the fine
powder coal into pellet we proceed to the next step.
Measure the empty crucible using analytical balance then note the value.
After we note the weight of the empty crucible, we put the coal pellet into
crucible and measure the weight which is the amount of the fuel testing.
Also measure the weight of 10cm magnesium fuse wire and thread as part
of the experiment.
fasten each end of the magnesium fuse wire into the electrode, and put
the thread near the sample as a ignitor
Using the volumetric pipette put 0.5cc water into bomb cylinder
Then tightened the knurled value knob and screw the cup
Attach the oxygen hose to the inlet valve and open the control valve until
the pressure reaches 30ATM
Pour the 2000ml of distilled water into the calorimeter bucket, Stir well.
Temperature should be around 24 degree
Place the oxygen bomb and steel container into calorimeter and attach the
electrodes with GV battery cord for the detonation.
Cover the calorimeter and insert the Beckmann Thermometer, wait for 300
seconds then record the temperature every 15 seconds until the
temperature of water becomes constant.
After the process removed the unburned fuse wire and measure, then
combined against the scale on the spool, record the length for corrections
to account for the heat released when the fuse wire is unburned.

Student Report
Based on the video the experiment is about on how bomb calorimeter works
using the sample of a coal, bomb calorimeter is used to measure heat and also to
determine the energy content (calorie) of the sample used. The heat that is
liberated is transferred to the water in calorimeter, which causes the temperature
of water rise.
M w x Cv w x (T 2−T 1 )
Q=
Mf
Equation 1:
Heat liberated by the Fuel=( High Calorific Value ) ( Amount of Fuel )
Equation 2:
Heat absorbed by the Apparator= ( W x w ) (t 2−t 1 )
Where:
W = Mass of Water
T1 = Initial Temperature
T2 = Final Temperature
SAMPLES AMOUNT
Application Questions:
ANS:
The 1 gram of coal pellet will be the sample that will put in bomb
calorimeter in experiment and the purpose is to determine the energy
content and fuel in terms of heat combustion

Conclusion:
There is so many types of a coal some of that has a different application, that
is why scientist use this as a sample in experiments to search some information
or data about the other uses of the coal, the purpose of this experiment is not
just the heating change but the energy content that has the coal and also the
fuel that will possible produce in terms of heat combustion
