The Butterfly Effect Philippines, referred to as TBE, is a youth-led nonprofit and

non-governmental organization dedicated to advocating for social change, justice, and providing
acts of human services. We uphold this mission by creating different initiatives focused on
providing monetary and in-kind aid to the marginalized sectors of society and initiating events
and fundraisers that shall help people or a community in need.

This August 20, TBE launched the program “Mula sa Bituin ni Mariposa”, it is a fundraiser
that aims to provide basic needs and financial support in light of the ongoing national
pandemic for Bahay Maria Orphanage; a non-governmental organization, and Maryknoll
Vanguardia; a 3rd stage breast cancer patient. The fundraiser will be until September 30,

Through your donations, you will be able to help continue Bahay Maria Orphanage’s
educational program amidst the pandemic and provide legal assistance for the
children. As for Maryknoll, Vanguardia, proceeds will be used to help overcome the challenge of
attending her Chemo Chemotherapy sessions because a single session alone costs Php
5,000.
