Ricky Reyes

Ricardo Enriquez Reyes, Jr. also known as “Ricky Reyes” and “Mother Ricky”,
born on April 12, 1950, raised by his mother, Amada Tiantes Enriquez Zabarte
a former student of FEU. He is the owner of the Ricky Reyes chain of salon.He is
the host of the television programme “Gandang Ricky Reyes” which provided
employment to over 1,200 workers. He initiated the Isang Gunting, Isang Suklay
(IGIS) Program (1984) to teach unemployed Filipinos. He is also managing the
Ricky Reyes Learning Institute (RRLI), a TESDA-certified learning center which
provides free educational assistance to aspiring beauticians. He founded the
CHILD (Center for Health and Improvement and Life Development) Haus in 2003
which provides temporary shelter for the cancer-stricken children while
undergoing their respective treatments. His success story is like “a classic rags
to riches tale”. He successfully established 43 chains of salon all over the
Philippines.

Manuel Pangilinan

Michael Velez Pangilinan, MVP, born on July 14, 1946 (age 72),
Manila, Philippines. Managing Director & CEO of First Pacific Company Limited,
Chairman of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation and Philex Mining
Corporation; Chairman, President & CEO of PLDT. Graduated Cum Laude from
the Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics,
received his Master of Business Administration degree from Wharton School of
the University of Pennsylvania in 1968. Manuel Pangilinan, chief executive of
Hong Kong-listed First Pacific, which owns big brands like Philippine Long
Distance Telephone, TV 5 and Meralco in the Philippines and Indonesian instant
noodles maker Indofood.

Joel Cruz

Joel Santos Cruz, he was born on the 5th of February, the sixth among the
seven children of Mrs. Milagros Santos Cruz & Mr. Dionisio Cruz. He was known
as "the lord of scent“, he finished bachelor of science in psychology of a pre-
medicine course in university of Santo Tomas (UST), he was recognized by the
Gawad America awards in Hollywood, California, he was nominated with an
agora awards for marketing by the Philippine marketing association in 2011 &
2012 and by the MVP PLDT SME awards in 2010 & 2011. His perfume
Aficionado is a Spanish word which means "fanatic or fan", loyal, or devotee.
The company was formerly named "affirmative" but known by "AF" as it's
acronym. The "Germany perfume" was added since most fragrance oils came
from suppliers from Munich Germany. Aficionado is known as the “ pambansang
pabango”.
Socorro Ramos

Maria Socorro “Coring” Cancio-Ramos, founder of the National Book Store, born
on September 23, 1923, Santa Cruz, Laguna , one of the six children of Emilia
Cancio and Jose Cancio. Grew up in an entrepreneurial environment. Her father
died when she was 10 years old, her parents used to ran a store selling a lot of
stuffs from slippers to clothes and a lot more, her grandmother had a market stall
, her husband is Jose Ramos. She is one of the Successful Filipino
Entrepreneur. Life was hard that her mother decided to move to Manila and find
better opportunities. At the age of 10, Socorro started to develop her
entrepreneurial skills. Immediately after graduating from Arellano High School,
she worked as a salesgirl at Goodwill Book Store owned by the family of her
present husband, Jose Ramos. They face trials before that made them to
become successful today

Eduardo Cojuanco Jr.

Eduardo "Danding" Murphy Cojuanco Jr.,born on June 10, 1936, lives in Paniqui,
Tarlac, he studied at the University of the Philippines Los Banos, then enrolled in
two-year program in field crops and agriculture at California Polytechnic
University. He is one of the richest and successful businessman in the
Philippines, former Philippine ambassador, chairman and CEO of San Miguel
Corporation and Chairman and CEO of other large enterprises. He took over his
father's business which is the Debt-ridden International Hardwood which
produces plywoods and toilet papers. He established Northern Cement
Corporation, he was also elected as governor in Tarlac and served from 1967-
1969, also served as congressman from 1969-1972. He helps his "kababayan"
in Paniqui, Tarlac. People blame them for floods, for cutting the trees, he is the
most misunderstood tycoon in the Philippines. Presidential Commission on Good
Government (PCGG) committed all kinds of abuses in running after Mr.
Cojuanco Jr. An alcohol-fuelled fight.

Diosdado Banato

Diosdado “Dado” P. Banatao, The Bill Gates of the Philippines, he was born on
May 26, 1946, Malabbac, Iguig, Cagayan, Philippines, American citizen who
studied at Stanford University (MSEECS), Mapúa Institute of Technology
(BSEE), Ateneo de Tuguegarao, Malabbac Elementary School, Founder &
Managing Partner of Tallwood Venture Capital, CEO of Ikanos
Communications, Chairman of Philippine Development Foundation. Her wife is
Maria Cariaga, they have 3 children, Rey Banatao, Desi Banatao, and Tala
Banatao, his parents’ name is Salvador and Rosita Banatao. Mr. Dado Banatao
achieve his goals in life because of proper discipline, dedication and hard work.
He invented/designed the first PC chipset.

Washington Z. SyCip
He was born on June 30, 1921, his parents’s name is Helen and Albino SyCip,
he studied at Padre Burgos Elementary School, Victorino Mapa High School,
University of Santo Thomas (UST), earned a commerce degree with summa
cum laude honors at age 17, he also taught in UST. He passed the examination
for Certified Public Accountants at age 18, he then decided instead to take his
PhD in the United States at Columbia University. In March 1946, he opened W.
SyCip & Company, SyCip was also instrumental in setting up the Asian Institute
of Management in 1966 and the Philippine Business for Social Progress in 1970,
SyCip is also an avatar of economic freedom.
