relationships.

Problem-Solving 5. It refers to a mathematical task that have the potential to provide intellectual
challenges for enhancing students’ mathematical understanding and development.

C. ESSAY. Answer the following questions briefly and concisely. (10 points)

1. How will you describe the Mathematics Education in the Philippines?

✓The Mathematics Education in the Philippines aim to build critical thinking and problem-
solving skills. The teachers develop their students the said skills. Those skills are needed in the
Philippines so that we can assure in the next generation is more skilled and creative. It was clear
that those skills are bounded together that they are important in the Mathematics Education in the
Philippines.

2. Is it possible to do problem-solving without critical thinking? Why?

✓No, because those skills are twin, there is no applicable way to do problem-solving
without critical thinking. For example, a student does problem-solving, without critical thinking,
he/she might not able to solve the problem. A student may not able to solve the problem even if
