Give One Saturday evening, Joey is walking down the
n lonely streets of Musuan…
1 she stopped and took her phone to capture the
beautiful, dazzling stars in the sky. Looking at
the darkened sky, she sighed because of
loneliness, but suddenly, a low male voice AMISOLA
frightened her and almost threw her phone out of
her hand.
2 Unexpectedly, the boy approach Joey then ask
her on why she's here since it's already night.

Joey reacts astonishingly and replied “I’m just
taking up pictures. How about you?”.
3 The boy looked away then sigh heavily and said
“Just unwinding” then Joey replied... “ahh, I see”.
Suddenly, Joey sees a frog going after her, she
jumped off in surprise; slowly opened her eyes
and realizing she’s holding the guy's hand while
hiding herself in his chest. “Oh my God, I am AQUINO
very sorry”
4 and the lad looked at Joey's face and asked,
"Are you Joey?" To which Joey replied, "Yes.”
“it's me, your childhood friend Zach, it's been like
five years since we last saw each other." BRIOL
5 "It’s good to see you” (smiling). She said, a lot
has changed especially your physical
appearance, maybe you have some secrets huh.
They talked as if nothing had changed as years CAMASURA
goes by without seeing each other.
6 Then, Zach all of a sudden just approached
Joey's face and stared at him intently. Joey was

confused and didn't know what to do.
7 She looked away because of the awkwardness,
the intensity of their eye contact is too much for
her to handle. Her heartbeat racing wildly, it
seems to come out at any moment "W-what?"
She asked, she's trembling—she could not even
understand why she seemed nervous, Zach CASERO
smiled "Nothing, you just look so beautiful when
you smile.”
8 Joey snapped her head back at Zach. She felt
burning sensation rising to her pale and chubby
cheeks. "I'm beautiful?" She murmured to
herself. Zach let out a breathy chuckle and
 stares at Joey through his long lashes. "You CERVANTES
have always been beautiful to me. The prettiest
in my eyes, Joey"
9 To cut the awkwardness and for Joey to be
comfortable, Zach asked Joey if it’s okay for her
to let him walk her home for her to be safe since
it’s getting dark, “It’s dangerous for you to be
walking alone at this time, if it’s okay” then Joey
agreed. As Zach takes her home, she asked DAGALA
Joey if she have a boyfriend.
10 Joey stop walking for a minute and stares at
Zach for a moment but before she could answer
Zach speak " Well I guess you don't have one
right? "He said in a husky voice. Then Joey EBO, C.
placed a warm smile on her face and said "
Yeah, why do you ask?" .
11 " I just want to make sure that the girl I love
doesn't have a boyfriend," Zach said in a low

voice. Joey didn't hear it clearly, so she asked
Zach, "What did you say?"
12 Months has past, Zach and Joeys bond got
closer than they expected it to be and they both
AMONCIO
feel that somethings special between their bond
as friends.
13 Zack and Joey become more close to each
other, seeing each other become their constant.
Their presence is their peace which made them
both more comfortable and happy when they are
together to the point that their feelings towards
each other become more deep and meaningful.
They are both still at the confusing level of their
relationship but sure about their actions on how
they care and valuable they are to each other. AQUINO

14 While Zach and Joey are enjoying the time of

their lives, Zach is about to confess his feelings
for her, but he's still undecided about how he
feels about her because Zach is always thinking
“what if she doesn't love or accept me and I
won't be able to move on as a result”. Joey then
met his buddy Raia, who is a classmate of hers
at school. Then, while Joey and Raia are
conversing and laughing, Zach feels an awful BRIOL
feeling in his chest, wondering if he should be
envious because they are only friends.
15 With a gritted jaw and slightly clenched fist, Zach
averts his gaze on something else instead. No,
He shouldn't feel this way, he doesn't have the
right to do so. What are they again? Zach licks CAMASURA
his bottom lip and mumbles for him to hear only.
"We're just friends."
16 Then Zach suddenly grab the wrist of Joey for he
has something to tell. Zach said, " Since we were
young, I was badly in love with you but I don't
have the urge to tell you since I'm a coward back
 then. Now that you're here and we've been
together most of the time and I want you to be

mine, can I court you?".
17 Joey's jaw dropped when she heard what Zach
said, she doesn't know what to do—but she
could feel her heart beating fast, "Hmm, do you
have anything to say?" Zach said smiling
nervously, "I-I actually don't know what to say.”
Zach let out a heavily sigh, “I'm not forcing you to
love me back, I can wait, besides I don't rush--" CASERO
Joey cut off whatever Zach was going to say and
kiss him, a smack kiss.
18 He never expected in his whole existence that
this scenario would happen. "Joey's kissing me"
He thought to himself and before he knew, the
girl pulled away after a moment. Her face CERVANTES
mirroring Zach's, they are both startled upon the
recent incident. Slowly, Zach draws the pad of
his finger into his bottom lip. Joey trembled,
cussing herself for acting impulsively.
19 They are both in shock for what just happened.
Minutes goes by, they sat down and talked, to
clear things out on what they really feel. Getting
into a relationship isn’t easy, it’s a big decision to
make. “Are you ready?” Joey asked, “YES” Zach
replied, “I know it’s scary, we will argue and fight,
jealousy, trust issues but I would rather be with DAGALA
you through bad times than having good times
alone, your worth fighting for Joey, I love you”.
Joey smiled then tightly hug Zach.
20 If one were to ask about how Zach felt right now,
He would say that the feeling was akin to running
endlessly without any sense of direction. Without
any sense of worth but as he ran more towards
the unforeseen goal. He slowly saw the light, and
the light came in the form of Joey. His light. The
one he was missing all these years but knew EBO, C.
existed. So yes he was lost without any sense of
worth but with Joey beside him now and forever, &
Zach was sure that the future he used to see as CERVANTES
bleak is much more colorful now. And it was all
because of his fateful encounter with Joey.

Months has past, Zach and Joeys bond got closer than they expected it to be and
they both feel that something’s special between their bond as friends. Zack and Joey become
more close to each other, seeing each other become their constant. Their presence is their
