Pursuant to Republic Act No. 10844 of the Philippines, also

known as the “Department of Information and Communications
Technology Act of 2015”, it is the policy of the State to recognize
the vital role of information and communication in nation-building;
to promote the development and widespread use of emerging ICT
and to encourage the use of ICT for the enhancement of key public
services, such as education, public health and safety, revenue
generation, and socio-civic purposes.

The Department of Information and Communications

Technology (DICT) Unit and the DepEd Division of Quezon ICT
Unit are working hand-in-hand to support RA 10844 and to equip
District and School ICT and their co-teachers with the knowledge
and skills as we embrace the challenges in ICT brought by this
pandemic. As support to the “New Normal”, this effort will give
you more ideas on how to use different platforms on trainings,
meetings, conferences and delivery of lessons in an online and

Moreover, the resource speakers will share to us how to

construct, design, implement, secure and manage school
websites as we deliver transparent, ethical and accountable
governance in our schools. In addition, the ICT Coordinators will
be empowered on how to create proposals on the improvement of
Schools ICT Infrastructure including budget allocation since this is
the new trend in the New Normal.
