Poverty, Corruption, and Me

There are two things that I keep asking my self does poverty causes
corruption or does corruption causes poverty. Can poverty be a justification
for corruption? or the reason behind it?. Corruption itself is a major
determinant of poverty. But it is a consequence of poverty as well. But who
should be blamed the people or those person on the higher position that
benefits on the money.

I agree that poverty is everybody’s problem it affects all people whether you
are rich or you are poor. Almost all Filipinos are considered poor. And what
makes me really anxious that the young ones are the most affected in this
situation at a very young age they are taught how to earn money for a living,
not just for themselves but for the whole family as well, I can’t imagine those
small bodies making hard works just to earn a teeny amount of money just
to be able to eat everyday.

As a student that is also concerned in the well being of our country I believe
that corruption has a big part on how poverty become relevant in our
country. They say that corruption is the cancer at the heart of so many of
our problems in the world. It destroys jobs and hold back growth, costing the
economy to drop billions every year. It traps the poorest in the most
desperate poverty as corrupt government around the world syphon off the
funds and prevent those hard working people from getting their revenues
and benefits of growth that are rightfully theirs. In a corrupt country even
how much you work hard they’ll just suck out all of you’re earnings and left
you with nothing but a dead tired body. The longer I see how the world
works where those people with money are considered as gods I became
more worried on how will the world look in more years.

Poverty and corruption is indeed the greatest obstacle of the world has it
covers all the problem from education, health, security and many more but
did we already ask ourselves who made this problems no right we just want
to blamed it all, we didn’t even know that we ourselves are the one who
should be blamed we are the ones who made all those problems we elected
the politician we know that isn’t fit in the position we just elect them because
they’re famous and they come in prominent families but we didn’t give a
chance to those people who really want to make our country great again we
keep our eyes close as we see how those politician slowly destroy and bring
down our economy and making themselves rich while we are left with
nothing but a futile light. Furthermore, people actually wants to deal with this
problem, every bit as much as they tackle issues like poverty. They want the
law to be up held and they want the corrupt to be punish, with justice and
recompense for those who have suffer.

Yet while corruption is such a huge problem, the national and global efforts
to deal with it is quite weak. Frankly no country has a clean record on these
issues. This is where one of the causes of corruption enters and that is
power as those people on the higher position experience how it feels like to
be powerful they become greedy and seek for more power.

But you know what even though poverty and corruption is a big problem of
the society , even how big is the effect it is making to us, let us not focus
and dwell too much on that problem for it will just make us futile. Yes,
poverty act as an obstacle, but it will not last forever there are so many
ways on how to combat poverty. Let us make an action to beat it. Find a
solution. Don’t rely too much on each other. Work hard even though you feel
like nothing happens but eventually all those hard work will be paid off with
interest. It is important to develop ourselves holistically. Life itself is hard
enough make it your sole mission to combat those obstacles and you’ll just
be thankful someday that you act and never let yourself down. After all our
future is still in our hands. Follow what was written and you will see. Time
will come and you cannot even noticed that you had already escaped from
poverty. Remember that nothing is impossible in this vast world.
