Refer to the patient that you selected for your Nutrition Care Process (ADIME). Identify
his/her learning needs and prepare a teaching plan for him/her. Refer to your Module for
the format (columns). Specific objectives must include the three domains (Cognitive,
Affective and Psychomotor).

Diagnosis: Imbalanced Nutrition Less than their Body Requirement related to insufficient
food intake as evidenced by the mother's verbalization and the child’s weight
PURPOSE: To provide the patients and family members with the
information they need to understand the concepts and causes of
malnutrition, as well as to adopt the proper attitude and actions to
prevent and correct the patient's condition.

GOAL: After 90 minutes of health teaching the family of the patient


should be able to understand the causes of malnutrition, its
complications, and prevention, and be able to apply it in their
everyday lives.
