and arrangements to be followed, like limitations on voyaging and social separating

among people, thus surveying innovation advancement. The conversation of the

technological advancement will focus predominantly on virtual learning among

students and scholars or researchers, internet buying of a product or purchasing

online, the utilization of the automated conveyance framework, execution of online

diversion, and contactless instalments through cards and e-wallets (Renu, 2020).

Background of the Study

The new Coronavirus is accepted to have first showed up in China in

December 2019, preceding spreading to Thailand, Japan, and the Republic of

Korea, consequently to the United States, Vietnam, and Singapore, and before the

finish of January 2020 to Australia, Nepal, and Europe (the main case in Europe was

seen in France on January 25, 2020, and later in Germany, Finland, Italy, and so

forth), lastly to Malaysia, Canada, Middle East, and different nations of the Western

Pacific Region and South-East Asia Region, and onwards to Russia, Africa, and

Latin America.

According to the World Health Organization, Globally, in the past week, the

number of new cases and deaths continued to decrease, although overall counts for

both remained high with just over 4.8 million new cases and nearly 86 000 new

deaths reported in the past week. All regions reported a decline in new cases this

week with the exception of the Western Pacific where the number of new cases was

similar to the previous week.

In this edition, a special focus update is provided on SARS-CoV-2 Variants of

Interest (VOIs) and Variants of Concern (VOCs), including updates on the

geographic distribution of VOCs B.1.1.7, B.1.351, P.1, and B.1.617.

The unprecedented outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), during

early December 2019 in Wuhan, China, has immediately advanced into a worldwide

pandemic, turned into a matter of grave concern, and set government offices

worldwide in a tricky position. The shortage of assets and absence of encounters to

persevere through the COVID-19 pandemic joined with the dread of future results

has set up the requirement for an appropriation of arising and future advancements

to address the forthcoming difficulties.

Since the most recent five months, the measure of pandemic effect has

arrived at its zenith that is modifying everybody's life; and people currently will

undoubtedly embrace safe approaches to get by under the danger of being

influenced. Innovative advances are currently speeding up quicker than at any other

time to remain in front of the outcomes and procure new abilities to assemble a more

secure world. Accordingly, there is a rising need to unfurl the force of arising, future

and troublesome advancements to investigate all potential approaches to battle

against COVID-19.

Review of Related Literature and Studies

This chapter presents related literature and studies that are found relevant to

the study.

The Effectiveness of Using Edmodo in Enhancing Students Outcomes in

Advance Writing Course

According to Gay E. & Sofyan N. (2017), the expansion of premium in the

utilization of computer-mediated communication (CMC) into understudies learning

and English Language Teaching (ELT) has become an essential piece of a 21st

century instruction. Virtual Learning Environments as a beneficial apparatus for

spurring and enabling free learning and imaginative instructing is rehearsing to

convey coursework in advanced education. Edmodo, called as the Facebook for

Education, was utilized to talk about the discoveries of understudies demeanor

recorded as a hard copy ability. Information was gathered through surveys, talk with,

discussion conversation, and understudies composed assessment. A blended

strategy for subjective and quantitative was utilized to examine the understudies’

viewpoint about utilizing this web based learning instrument and the outcomes

accomplished from the task include. The essential instrument, a scientist at

Muhammadiyah University of North Maluku (UMMU), worked with a class of fifth

semester college understudies (roughly 20) of English division of UMMU to present

Edmodo as internet learning is a piece of new educational plan rehearses. The

exploration examined the adequacy of utilizing a CMC device to improve

understudies' composing ability, particularly to investigate how the utilization of

Edmodo in language learning may contextualize and coordinate language guidance

utilizing Internet innovation. These incorporate associations with critical group

environments, execution of Edmodo into the educational plan, full of feeling

elements, and authority of metacognitive abilities. The outcomes show that the

utilization of Edmodo is effectively working with understudy's interest in online

conversations and assignment. This additionally upgraded understudy's advantage

and inspiration in improving their composing abilities. It mirrored that an educational

plan and learning exercises created based on sociocultural hypothesis and

informative encouraging methodology could build collaboration and correspondence

through the SCMC framework.

Robotics, Smart Wearable Technologies, and Autonomous Intelligent Systems

for Healthcare during the COVID-19 Pandemic

As per Tavakoli M. (2020), in the midst of the profound wellbeing

emergencies exacerbated by the limit financial agony, for example, during the novel

coronavirus pandemic, clinical robots, wearable, and self-sufficient frameworks can

be important for the arrangement. These frameworks or systems can help the

medical services framework and protect general wellbeing in various manners. For

7 | Page
RIZAL TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY

example, robots can be utilized to help forestall the spread of COVID-19 or aid huge

scope evaluating for it. Advanced wellbeing arrangements, including

telehealth/telepresence innovations, can empower more successful and more

secure medical care administration conveyance. Canny telehealth frameworks can

fundamentally decrease the danger of irresistible illness transmission to bleeding

edge medical services laborers by making it workable for them to emergency,

assess, screen, and treat patients from a protected distance. A wheeled

telepresence robot conveying a controller can be utilized for virtual eye to eye

patient appraisal and empowers the medical services staff to perform symptomatic

testing (e.g., taking a patient's temperature or swab tests) from a protected distance.

Working with the curbside screening of patients while medical services staff stay in

an ensured climate, telehealth advances can decrease both the contact time among

patients and forefront medical services laborers and the utilization of PPE during

patient admission. Another illustration of the expected utilization of mechanical and

self-governing frameworks is mechanizing manual activities that are work

concentrated, tedious, and redundant to diminish the weight on cutting edge medical

care laborers. For example, a portable robot can be sent to self-rulingly sanitize and

clean medical care offices. Medical care conveyance can be made more productive

and more secure through the utilization of materials taking care of and coordination

robots, particularly on account of dealing with natural/irresistible materials,

dispersing PPE and prescriptions, and handling/disinfecting clinical hardware.

Robots can help medical care staff in treating hospitalized patients by empowering

more successful medical services conveyance, especially for those patients in

separation or basic consideration.

Notwithstanding the "mechanical design" of a robot, how it associates with a

human (e.g., a caregiver or a patient) matters when attempting to systematically

arrange different automated answers for the conveyance of different medical care

administrations. The "modality of physical human–robot interaction" (HRI), where the

human and the robot work in direct actual contact, relies upon whether the robot is

wearable, collective, tele operated, or independent. Figure 1 shows how various

modalities of actual HRI look at as far as human job or information versus

assignment or climate vulnerability. Social HRI is about the robot acting and

interfacing such that backings the human's own behavior and choices.

An Autonomous Logistic Vehicle for Contactless Goods Transportation

As stated by IEEE Robotics & Automation Magazine (2021), since mid-2020,

COVID-19 has spread quickly across the world. At the date of this composition, the

illness has been around the world revealed in 220 nations and districts,

contaminated in excess of 68 million individuals, and caused more than 1.5 million

passing. Staying away from individual to-individual transmission is a successful way

to deal with control and forestall the pandemic. Notwithstanding, numerous every

day exercises, for example, moving merchandise in our day by day life, definitely

include individual to-individual contact.

Utilizing a self-sufficient calculated vehicle to accomplish contactless

products transportation could mitigate this issue. For instance, it can diminish the

danger of infection transmission between the driver and clients. Besides, numerous

nations have forced intense lockdown measures to decrease infection transmission

(e.g., retail and providing food) during the pandemic, which causes bothers for every

day human existence. Self-ruling vehicles can get it done bought by people so they

can get these without going out. Such requests inspired us to foster a self-governing

vehicle, Hercules, for contactless merchandise transportation during the COVID-19

pandemic. The vehicle is assessed through genuine conveyance undertakings under

different traffic conditions.

As demonstrated in Table 1, the most generally announced innovation in

medical care administrations is the modernized tomography machine that has been

broadly utilized in early identification and determination because of the novel

indications of the Covid-19. Different advancements were featured, for example,

video-based cell phones, PCs, and robots as unreplaceable in distantly observing

and diagnosing during the pandemic. Most patients with COVID-19 can be overseen

distantly with an exhortation on indicative administration and self-disengagement.

Albeit such meetings should be possible by phone, as a rule, the video gives extra

viewable signs and remedial presence (Greenhalgh, Wherton, et al., 2020). Table 1

shows that equipment innovations, for example, cell phones and webcam-

empowered PCs assume a principal part to offer types of assistance and are

extensively utilized in virtual instruction, distant work, and day by day life. For

example, without webcam-empowered PCs or cell phones, web-based conferencing

applications, for example, Zoom and WebEx can't be worked during COVID-19.

Summary of Findings, Conclusions, and Recommendation

This chapter presents a summary of the all-inclusive study undertaken. The

Summary of Findings, Conclusions, and Recommendations made by the

researchers is the outgrowth of this study. The researchers focus on the "Effects on

the Community of Advanced Technology during CoVid-19 Pandemic.”

Summary of Findings

The study sought to provide answers to the following questions:

1. What are the advanced technologies used during a pandemic?

As researchers study, researchers find four fields that use technology these

are: Healthcare, Education, Work, and Daily Life. Under Healthcare, we obtain these

types of technology: computerized tomography machines, mobile devices,

computers, robots, wearable devices, video devices, sensors, digital HIPAA-

compliant tools, 3-dimensional machines. In Education, students commonly use

webcam-enabled computers and mobile devices. Workers usually use mobile

phones and webcam-enabled computers. In our daily lives, we use cameras, mobile

devices, robots, computers, and Vehicles. We often see this technology in of

surroundings.

17 | Page
RIZAL TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY
Pasig Campus
M. Eusebio Avenue, Maybunga, Pasig City

2. How does this advanced technology will work effectively to cope up with the

current pandemic?

In Healthcare, it improved patient outcomes, reduced the spread of the virus,

delivered care at a distance, distinguished COVID-19 from other diseases, protected

medical providers/patients, improved COVID-19 data quality. Technology helps

education fields to continue education in context with safe distancing, delivered

(a)synchronous online instruction, created virtual teaching and learning environment,

engaged and supported struggling students. Working inside the home helps to

ensure the employee's safety, delays rise in COVID-19, influenced housing and

transportation risks. We rarely go outside so, using technology in our daily lives

during the pandemic decreased the impact of an outbreak, maintaining social

connections, accelerated digitalization of the economy and communities, and

created highly efficient quarantining methods.

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of the advanced technologies

mentioned?

Some advantages of advanced technology in healthcare we acquire are

providing health services, communicating, monitoring patients, assessing patients,

and detecting the virus. Most schools use online learning to continue the classes of

the students. Schools use technology to teach the lesson students are learning

18 | Page
RIZAL TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY
Pasig Campus

online, communicating, transitioning from face-to-face to online learning, and

delivering instruction. Some companies allow the employees to work from home.

They exchange virtual services, utilizing digital information, conferencing digitally,

communicating through technology. And as the pandemic continues, we rarely go

outside but, with the help of technologies, we can interface others,

predicting/forecasting, interacting socially, and transporting goods and services.

These technologies have some downsides. As we see, some healthcare

services cannot examine patients, sometimes their care delays, have technological

concerns, and not enough protecting the medical data. In education, there are

technical issues for students and teachers. Also, some are distracted at home, too

much screen time, hard to find reliable internet. Working from home is not perfect.

Employees are distracted while working, they can't find reliable internet, and

sometimes they feel lonely while working from home. Staying at home every day

using mobile technology may cause online fraud, too much screen time may cause

illness, and finding reliable internet.

Conclusions

As addressed in our study, the effects of advanced technology on the

community during the Covid-19 pandemic. It helps them to continue their lives during

times of pandemic. Technology assists the field of Healthcare, Education, Work, and

the Daily lives of the community. It helps the affected individual stay safe at home,

19 | Page
