1. What is the purpose or objective of an invention?

The purpose of an invention is to solve a specific problem using technology and

create a new thing that will help people.

2. Why is an invention important?

Invention is the most important product of scientific knowledge. Invention involves

the discovery of new processes, ideas or tool. Without invention, science would be merely

for its own sake, serving few and help no one.

3. For you, what is man’s greatest invention? Why?

For me paper is the man’s greatest invention because paper is everywhere. Paper is a

sustainable, renewable, recyclable, plant-based product that connects us in so many ways to

the important things in life. Great ideas are started on paper. The world is educated on paper.

Businesses are founded on paper. Money is made up of paper. If we do not have money, we

cannot afford basic necessities such as accommodation, food and clothing.

Although money cannot directly buy us health, it can be used to improve our health.

4. For you, who is the greatest Filipino inventor? Why?

For me Magdalena Villacruz is the Filipino greatest inventor because she invented the

turtle power tiller, Power tiller helps the farmers to grow more resilient and strong crops by
preparing the ground ready for new plantings. Apart from turning the soil, power tillers are

widely used for weeding, fertilizer and pesticide application, creating trenches to keep away

the critters or animals from damaging the crops.
