2. Why does a profession like teaching require long years of initial professional education
and continuing professional development after that long, arduous initial professional
education?

- In order for aspiring teachers to obtain appropriate information and skills that they can
employ in their teaching career, it takes many years of initial professional education and
continuous professional development following a long and arduous initial professional
development. Initial professional education is the foundation on which they can build their
skills, capacities, and potential. It's also important because it will help them gain the
confidence and strength they'll need in the school. To obtain a certificate and be qualified to
take the BLEPT, you must first complete initial professional education.
