HOSAN-1 WELL SUMMARY

Rig Move :

ZPEB Rig 747 was released from TJ-11 (Block 5A) on Oct 11, 2004 18:00 hrs, moved and rigged
up on Hosan -1 (Block 8) Over a distance of 1020 km in 20.73 days.

Conductor Pipe :

20” conductor pipe was pre-set at 18m.

12 ¼” Pilot Hole :

Rig up and Diverter nipple up was completed, Hosan-1 spud was at 11:30 hours on 1 st Sep 2004.
12 ¼ Pilot hole was drilled to 552 m, wiper trip was made with 42,000 lbs over pull from 452m to
314m , POOH for Wire line Logging (PEX-HALS-BHC-GR-SP).

17 ½” Hole :

After logging, hole was opened with 17 ½” hole opener to 278m. POOH to surface (hole good),
RIH, hole opening resumed to 381m, POOH, M/up new bit, Opening hole resumed to 552m,
POOH with 79,000 lbs over pull from 415m to 400m, RIH, hi vis was pumped , hole was
circulated and cleaned , slug was pumped, and POOH to run casing.
13 3/8” casing was rigged up and ran to 552m, circulated, and cemented (with 243 bbls 12 ppg
lead, & 155 bbls 15 tail), Diverter was removed , casing was cut. Section (A) was installed and
hole was tested to 3000 psi.

12 ½” Hole :

After nipple up B.O.P, 12 ¼” BHA was made and RIH to 520m (cement top) , Cement & floats
was drilled, 12 ¼” Hole was drilled from 552 to 555m, mud was circulated to 9.6 ppg,, Leak Of
Test was conducted (Mud weight 9.6 ppg, 623 psi, E.M.W.= 16.2 ppg), drilling continued to
693m, POOH to shoe to change main compound chain, RIH, drilling continued to 701m, POOH
for bit change, RIH with bit # 7rr , drilling continued to 896m , circulated, wiper trip was made to
the shoe with max. over pull 43,000 lbs from 760m to 756m, RIH, drilling continued to 1018m,
POOH (bit trip) max. over pull 60,000 lbs from 862m to 855m, RIH with new bit and new jar,
drilling continued to 1147m, wiper trip was made to 905m max. Over pull was 45,000 lbs from
1049m to 1042m, RIH, drilling continued to 1260m, Wiper trip was made to 1028m, max. Over
pull was 60,000 lbs from 1175 to 1150m, RIH, drilling continued to 1364m, POOH for bit
change max. over pull 20,000 lbs, RIH with new PDC bit, Drilling continued to 1529m
(Background gas increased to 90,000 ppm), mud weight in/out= 10.6/9.6 flow check negative,
mud weight was raised to 11 ppg, mud was circulated & conditioned, flow check was negative),
drilling continued to 1629m, wiper trip was made to 1275m max. over pull 50,000 lbs, RIH,
drilling continued to 1735m (revised casing point), POOH, balled blades was cleaned off (no
drag),, RIH, hi-vis was pumped, hole was circulated and cleaned, POOH for wire line logging,
( Log #1: PEX-HALS-BHC-GR-SP, Log #2: RFT log, Log #3,4,5: CST logs) , 11.5 ppg hi-vis
was pumped ,and mud changed to 11.5 ppg to control caving problem while RFT logging,
10/30 shots only recovered during Log #3,4, wire line was rigged up to run 9 5/8” casing, casing
was cemented (with 208 bbls 12.8 ppg lead, & 95 bbls 15.8 tail), BOP was lifted to install section
(B) , tested (OK).
8 ½” Hole :

After nipple up B.O.P , new 8 ½” BHA was made and RIH to 1704m (top of cement), cement &
float was drilled to 1735m, 8 ½” hole was drilled to 1737m, leak of test was conducted ( E.M.W. =
17.8 ppg) , Drilling continued to 1780m , R.O.P. was slow, POOH to change bit, (found some
balling on t bit), re-run bit M 89, RIH, Drilling continued to 1891m , wiper trip was made to the
shoe , RIH (no over pull or drag noted), Drilling continued to 1910m (Background gas was
increased , mud weight was increased to 11.5 ppg, gas cut mud down to 10.3 ppg, 57,000 ppm
gas peak recorded, mud weight was increased to 12 ppg ), drilling continued to 1959m, wiper trip
was made to the shoe (no drag), POOH for tri-cone, made up HP-41, RIH, hole was drilled to
1986m (torque increased from 1964m to 1969m), POOH for bit change (Hrs), RIH, drilling
continued to 2021m , POOH to change Kelly due to leakage, RIH, Drilling continued to 2117m,
POOH for bit change (55 hrs), made up new MX-C1 mill tooth bit, RIH, hole was drilled to
2240m, wiper trip was made to 2098m (no drag), drilling continued to 2355m, POOH for bit
change (Hrs), BOP test was conducted (All OK), new insert bit was made up (jars was changed),
drilling continued to 2520m , Wiper trip was made to 2314m (hole good), Drilling continued to
2551m, POOH (hole good) , made up new bit, RIH, Hole was drilled to 2777m, losses occurred
(90 bbls/hr), 40 bbls L.C.M., POOH for bit change (ROP), mud was cut to 11.7 ppg,, RIH, mud
was displaced to 11.7 ppg, drilling continued to 2849m, POOH for bit change max. over pull was
70,000 lbs from 2784m to 2736m, RIH, Drilling continued to 2884m, POOH for bit and jars
change max. over pull was 30,000 lbs, RIH, drilling continued to 2911m (TD), wiper trip was
made to 2500m (hole good), POOH for wire line logging ( Log #1: PEX-HALS-GR, Log #2: DSI-
TMI-GR, Log #3: RFT, Log #4: V.S.P, Log #5: CST), Well was abandoned , bridge plug & six
(6) cement plugs were set , well was displaced to brine, Rig was released from Hosan-1 at 18:00
hrs.
