Unacademy_RituDudhoria QUESTION 1
 An English professor says:
Shakespeare’s star-crossed creation Romeo has become a
byword for the typical Indian “eve-teaser” and yet another
Indian euphemism for someone who harasses women. It is
surprising that this imaginary character has become the de
facto tag for molesters, that too in a subcontinent whose
population overwhelmingly has little knowledge of Elizabethan
plays and their protagonists.

Which of the following can be logically concluded from the

passage above?

a) Euphemisms distort the meaning of the original words.
b) Shakespeare’s plays are not taught effectively in India.
c) The expression “Romeo” is not used in England in the sense
it is used in India.
d) Indians glorify molesters.

be none from India. Yes, you read it right, none.

Unacademy_RituDudhoria QUESTION 3
At the heart of the wellness concept is the most romantic notion of
all: the suggestion that we might postpone, halt and even reverse the
aging process itself. While some scientists are doing research on
ageing and on human mortality, many wellness buffs — and even
some reasonably accredited scientists — are promising that we may
soon penetrate the secret of the ageing process and with this
knowledge, actually extend ‘Homo Sapiens’ normal life span.-

Unacademy_RituDudhoria QUESTION 6
PARA SUMMARY
Though they do not involve burning dirty fossil fuels, hydropower projects are
not emissions free. Often, large dams flood vast vegetated areas. As a
result, the vegetation rots under water. Eventually, this leads to the
release of methane, a greenhouse gas 34 times as potent as carbon
dioxide. In some cases, large dams can result in even more lifetime
greenhouse gas emissions than equivalent conventional sources. And
this does not even include the emissions resulting from the construction
of such dams – cement and equipment-heavy projects that usually take
several years to build.
A. Large hydropower projects contribute more to climate change than fossil
fuels plants of equivalent generating capacity.
B. As large dams result in significant greenhouse gas emissions,
hydropower cannot be regarded as a clean source of energy.
C. Hydropower projects cause flooding, leading to significant greenhouse
gas emissions from rotting organic material.
D. In terms of greenhouse gas costs, hydropower is comparable to more
conventional sources of energy.

with which otherwise sensible citizens allow themselves to follow the
Piper.

C. If we realize that it is our sentiments that are disturbed, not our security,
perhaps we will see the issue with greater equanimity.

D. It is in the nature of democratic politics for ambitious politicians to use
