1) Divorce (where do you stand, Affirmative or Negative?

)
- Divorce is the term used in the process in terminating a marriage or marital union.
It is the separation of two people who exchanged vows in the eye of the God and the law.
When I was child, this issue was already a hot topic even before, because our country, the
Philippines is one the two countries that does not have divorce law, the other is the Vatican
City. For the many, this law would help them escape from their failing marriage and from
their other selfish reasons, but we can’t blame them. Each one of us have our own
limitations in life, we have unique personality and behavior that we carry throughout our
life, we have the mind to decide what is good for us.
I got a friend that her parents got separated, she’s living with her unbiological
brother. I observed she got personality problems (which is I don’t need to state), compare to
my other classmates who grew up guided by their parents. Parents has a major role in
development of a child, they are the first teacher and should be remained the best teacher
throughout our lives. I don’t agree to this law, for it’ll ruin the life of the children they left
behind. Yes, the law said that the separated couple will continue to sustain the needs of the
child financially, but for me, as a psychology student, I stand negative for this issue.
I grew up with a chaotic environment, my parents are always exchanging curses to
each other. My mother always running away from the house with her 3 children, but in the
end of the day, she always comes back to my father. Although my parent’s relationship is
like that, I observed, that to them marriage is a sacred commitment and responsibility that
needs to be nurtured.

2) Same-sex marriage (where do you stand, Affirmative or Negative?)

We all do know what is marriage, it is a legally and socially sanctioned union,
usually between a man and a woman, that is regulated by laws, rules, customs, beliefs, and
attitudes that prescribe the rights and duties of the partners and accords status to their
offspring. While the same-sex marriage has the same definition but different in
participants. It is a type of marriage that let people who have the same genitals to marry or
unite in the eyes of our law and to our God.
In my family, especially to my mother side, LGBTQ+ is not new to them, because
most of my mother’s uncles are gay. The only straight of them was my grandfather Ernesto,
the father of my mother. My mother told me he hated gay people, he doesn’t want to talk to
his siblings until even the day he died. But I observed mostly to my grandfather’s siblings
are professionals, they graduated with degrees and have the money they need, BUT, they
are not in favor of the same-sex marriage, because they grew up in a religious family, and
they believed it is a sin. I grew up same as them, but in my case, I was threatened by my
father. He really hated gay when he was still young, he wants me to be like him his only boy,
to be a man.
For me, I do not encourage this kind of marriage. Marriage is a sacred ritual that
needs the couple’s commitment and responsibility. It is a Commitment, to take care of each
other until they inhale their last breathe. Responsibility, PROCREATION, the true purpose
of marriage, atleast for me. In our biology subjects, did our teacher told us that we can
form a zygote from a two sperms, no, its not possible. Marriage’s true purpose is
procreation, IT IS THE LAW OF NATURE, to create life, to multiply, to maintain our
numbers in this world. What’s the purpose of same-sex marriage? I searched in the internet
and I found nothing beneficial to our world, same-sex marriage is just a selfish act. Is it not
enough to acknowledge them to our society? We gave them the respect they need. Giving
them to showcase what they’re capable of, yet, they want more above the natural law.

3) Abortion (where do you stand, Affirmative or Negative?)

When two people are sexually aroused, the excitement is the one that drives them to satisfy
their needs, by doing that thing we call “Sex”. We all know that procreation is the process in which
a man and a woman create life from their image and nurture it. Biologically, it is a process by
which new individual organisms or offspring are produced from their parents (man and a woman).
This method of creating life is usually conducted by the couples who are already married, those
people who are financially and psychologically prepared to make a family. We people as a normal
human being tend to have emotion with a strong feelings of affection towards the opposite sex. In
such a young age, some of us will have a relationship with others, by showing their so called love to
each other, they engage in premarital sex, it is an issue here in our country. Premarital sex is when
a non-married couple are already engaging to sex, and we all know that many of the people who are
engaging to this resulted to the increasing the curve of the teenage pregnancy not just here in our
country but in the whole world. When they got pregnant, some of them decides to continue and
raise the child normally, but there are some, people who are psychologically unprepared for such
state do the process they call abortion.
Abortion is the process to end the pregnancy, to remove the fetus inside the mother. It uses
medicine or surgery to remove the embryo or fetus and placenta from the uterus. The procedure is
done by a licensed health care professional. In some countries, abortion is legalize, but here in the
Philippines, as a religious country, it is still illegal to abort the child inside a mother’s womb. Yes,
abortion really helps in controlling the fast increasing of population. Example, the china was a very
populated country in the whole world, they gave solution to this problem by legalizing the abortion,
and by minimizing the number of children in a family.
I grew up in a religious family, they said to take someone’s life without justification or valid
reason one of the heaviest sin a man would do. I consider abortion as an act of murder. When a
sperm unites with an ovum, they form a zygote and eventually becomes an embryo to a fetus. I
consider them as life. An innocent life that doesn’t even woke up, feel, see, and touch the reality.
The ones who still doesn’t know themselves, the ones who doesn’t know if they exist, they will still
look for that answers, but there are some took that away from them. As a student, I stand negative
for this issue, despite the positive effects of this act would bring, we shouldn’t let our selfishness
drove us to take away the life ahead of an innocent life.
