Medication:
 Advised the parents to administer the prescribed medication on time. Educate the
patient about the significance of taking the right dosages of the medicine as per
doctor’s order.
 Heracline 1 cap OD with milk for stimulating the appetite of the baby. It also
facilitates optimum utilization of dietary protein intake, contributes to the
formation and repair of body tissues.
 Nutrilin drops 0.15ml OD is an all-in-one multivitamin packed with essential
vitamins and minerals to provide all these health benefits: immunity, energy,
growth, strong teeth, strong bones, clear eyesight and healthy skin.
Exercise:
 When premature babies are ready to interact, it’s a great time to stimulate their
senses. Skin-to-skin touch, swaddling, and infant massages guided by a pediatric
physical therapist can also help nurture their sensory systems. 

Environment:
 Informed the parents about the importance of a clean and quiet environment and the
need to practice it always. Wash your hands before touching the baby or anything
your baby comes in contact with. Ask anyone who visits your baby to wash their
hands. Do not take your baby to crowded places and keep him or her away from
people who are sick. Do not let anyone smoke or use illicit drugs near your baby.

Treatment:
 Teach the parents about the proper care of the baby including:
 Right sleeping position to prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
Place baby on the back and use a firm sleep surface. Avoid soft beddings.
 In bathing, start from the cleanest parts of the body to the most soiled
areas, that is from the eyes and face to the trunk and extremities, and last,
to the diaper areas.
 In diaper care, advice the parents to change diaper frequently, and with
each diaper change, wash the area with clean water and dry well.
 Always remember to perform proper hygiene.
 Performed health education and encouraged the parents about the benefits of
breastfeeding for both mother and child as well as the family. It also included the
different techniques and positions in breastfeeding. This includes side-lying position,
which is the most comfortable position for many moms, especially in the first couple of
days following surgery. Football hold, with baby supported by a breastfeeding pillow
and cradle or crossover hold, with a breastfeeding (or normal) pillow on your lap and
your baby lying on top.

Out – Patient:
 Be back for immunization schedules of the baby and other metabolic screening test
results.
 Immediately seek healthcare provider if any problem manifests.

Diet:
 Promote breastmilk to the mother as it contains almost all the health benefits that the
baby needs for growth and development.

Spiritual:
 If there are religious practices that they abide, they may continue to do so. Encourage
praying at all times.
