ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON SCHOOL-BASED FEEDING PROGRAM


S.Y. 2017-2018

I. INTRODUCTION

One of the programs of the Department of Education is the implementation of the


School-Based Feeding Program which aims to address under nutrition and short-term
hunger among the public school children. As part of the institution, Porac National High
School launched its Supplementary Feeding Program for wasted and severely wasted
students last September 18, 2017.

II. ACTIVITIES

Mrs. Paulyn Nacino, Health Coordinator of the school, threshed-out those who were
severely wasted and wasted students. There were 30 recipients of the 20-day program. The
school provided meals with malunggay as the main ingredient every 8:00 in the morning.
The budget per child is P 26.50 per meal. The meals are prepared by some TLE teachers
and school’s teen nurses, following low-cost and balanced menus.

The following table is the 20-day cycle menu of the feeding program:

During feeding, health care practices such as hand washing and tooth brushing are
also promoted.
III. ACCOMPLISHMENT

The Supplementary Feeding Program at Porac National High School which aims to
reduce malnutrition among the students is a successful one.

The following record shows the Weight, Height and Body Mass Index of the severely
wasted and wasted students before and after the feeding program.
