DIVISION LEVEL FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING OF GRADES 4-12 SCIENCE TEACHERS ON
THE UTILIZATION OF VIDEO BASED LEARNING RESOURCES

1.The Schools Division of Marinduque shall conduct a one-day (1) face to face training for Grades 4-
12 Science Teachers in all elementary and secondary schools at Tiguion Elementary School on
August 16 2022.

2.The training aims to:

a. provide opportunity for all Science Teachers to explore the Science Centrum exhibits through
video based learning resources.
b. boost teachers confidence in delivering both Science learning and STEM activities and
c. upgrade Science teachers’ content knowledge and skills in stimulating students interest in
Science.

3. All participants in the division level shall receive an envelop containing the USB flash drive
containing intro and 33 PSC exhibit videos, Philippine Science Centrum exhibit manual and teachers
guide for exhibit based lessons.

4. All the participants during the regional level held on July 13, 2022 at DLHMS shall serve as the
Resource Speaker/ Facilitator for the division Roll Out. The Division Level Resource Persons/
Facilitator are requested to convene on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, 1 pm at Tiguion Elementary School
to discuss and devide the topics to be demonstrated during the division roll-out. Since participants in
the division level shall not receive a lab in a box, the resource persons/ facilitators are requested to
prepare their own materials needed for the demonstration of the different hands-on activities
enumerated in Enclosure No. 2.

5. Science Coordinator from the Elementary and Secondary Level shall assist the Public Schools
District Supervisor in the management of the conduct of the said training. They are advised to strictly
follow the time given in the schedule of activities to ensure that all activities enumerated are
demonstrated. The EPS in Science together with the Parent Supervisors, shall monitor the conduct of
the said activity.

6. Participants and Resource Persons are not allowed to go out of the venue for the whole day
training. Therefore, they area advised to bring their own food provision which may be charged to
MOOE and other funding sources.

7. All the teacher- participants and teacher –resource persons are entitled to a one-day service credit
per DepEd Memorandum No.53, s. 2003 titled Updated Guidelines on the Grant of Service Credit to
Teachers.

8. List of participants and Schedule of Activities are found in the attached enclosures.

9. Immediate dissemination of the contents of this Memorandum is desired.
