PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Title: Seminar on Gender and Development Cum Bench Marking

II. Focal Person: Precila P. Perez
III. Proposed Date: April 28-30, 2019
IV. Proposed Venue: Vigan, Ilocos Sur and Intramuros, Manila
V. Participants: San Isidro ES School Head and Teachers
VI. Rationale:

“The achievements of an organization are the result of the combined effort of each
individual.”(Vince Lombardi)

The key to success of San Isidro Elementary School in continually achieving achievements is the
best school-public relations, team work and commitment of teachers and administrator.

After a year’s hectic activities, teaching loads, reports and paper works, everybody deserves a
short break as a reward for another year of successful teaching and leadership. This is also a time for
gender awareness, self-development, positive communication, leadership skills and ability to work closely
together as a team.

It is believed that this team-building activity is a good avenue that will foster a better
understanding for a better organizational development to realize the motto – “together we lead to excel
and excel to lead.”

Harmonious relationship is one of the factors to have a successful organization. This can be
achieved if the school head’s relationship is nurtured by activities that can motivate and inspire the
members of the organization to perform well. Organization should be balanced, there should be time for
the development of total personality. To develop the social aspect and aesthetic value of the embers of
the organization, there should be a venue for these development. Gender sensitivity should be developed
and inculcated in everyone to have a good rapport with each other.

It is in this light that a seminar for gender development and benchmarking are found to be
necessary. It will enhance the relationship of the teachers and school head, which will motivate them to
work with confidence and dedication. In return, it will radiate to the teachers and pupils/learners, making
them highly motivated to perform well in class, resulting to an increase in performance. The proposed
team building will be in Ilocos and Manila, one of the best tourist destination in the Philippines.

The objectives of the activity are:

1. Conduct employees feedback

Feed backing of activities is a great way of breaking the monotony and encouraging every
personnel to speak freely.

2. Organize a three-day trip

This is a form of reward for school head and teachers for the good works that they have
done for the whole year. This can be a break for the daily work-related pressures and can help
fellow employee to interact informally, bond and get to know each other.

3. Celebrate each other’s success

This is a good opportunity to appreciate each other’s efforts. If anybody has a major
project related decision to make which he is not very sure about, this could be the right time to
ask the views of the fellow teachers. This gestures will promote teamwork, boost employee’s
confidence and once again, make them valued and wanted.

4. Conduct seminar on gender and development

VII. Participants:

The participants of the activity are the seven teaching personnel and the school head of
San Isidro ES.
