III. OBJECTIVE:
The primary goal of the Gender Sensitivity Training conducted at Hinapolon Elementary School was
to enhance awareness and understanding of gender-related issues among educators, fostering a more
inclusive and equitable learning environment.

Activity Highlights:

1. Preparation and Planning:


Prior to the event, a planning committee was formed to organize and coordinate the Gender
Sensitivity Training. A detailed agenda, resource materials, and activities were prepared to ensure the
effective delivery of the training.

2. Resource Person:
A knowledgeable and experienced resource person was invited to facilitate the training session. The
resource person guided participants through various aspects of gender sensitivity, addressing stereotypes,
biases, and promoting a deeper understanding of gender-related challenges.

3. Interactive Sessions:
The training included interactive sessions, group discussions, and case studies to encourage active
participation and engagement. Participants had the opportunity to share their perspectives, experiences,
and best practices related to promoting gender sensitivity in an educational setting.

4. Role of Participants:
The four teachers and the school head actively participated in the training sessions. They
demonstrated enthusiasm in learning about gender sensitivity and expressed a commitment to
implementing the acquired knowledge in their teaching practices and overall school management.

5. Feedback and Evaluation:

Participants provided feedback through evaluation forms, expressing appreciation for the valuable

6. Conclusion:

The Gender Sensitivity Training at Hinapolon Elementary School was successfully conducted, with
active participation from four teachers and the school head. The event contributed to creating a more
gender-sensitive and inclusive school environment. Moving forward, the school is committed to
integrating gender-sensitive practices into its curriculum and daily operations.

This report is submitted to provide a comprehensive overview of the activities conducted and the
outcomes achieved during the Gender Sensitivity Training at Hinapolon Elementary School.

SEMINAR ON THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (DEPED) ISSUES THE


ENCLOSED GENDER-RESPONSIVE BASIC EDUCATION POLICY
To: All Teaching and Non-teaching Personnel

1. The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed Gender-Responsive Basic Education Policy in
line with its Gender and Development (GAD) mandate as stipulated in the 1987 Philippine Constitution,
Republic Act (RA) No. 9710 or the Magna Carta of Women (MCW), RA 10533 or the Enhanced Basic
Education Act of 2013, and the Philippines’ International Human Rights Commitments to the Universal
Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination
Against Women (CEDAW), and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) among others.

2. In this regard, the school will be conducting a seminar on the department of education (DepEd) issues the
enclosed gender-responsive basic education policy on December 18, 2023 at Hinapolon Primary School
Grades 1 and 2 Classroom.

3. The participants of this training are all the teachers and non-teaching personnel.

4. The training aims to discuss about Gender Sensitivity.

5. All expenses incurred relative to the conduct of this activity including food, travel and load allowance shall be
charged to school MOOE Funds subject to the usual auditing rules and regulations.

6. Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is hereby desired.
